Operation Haven

A few of us dedicated SHRPG members have been thinking of also joining the RPG-Haven site, which you can find here: http://rpg-haven.forumotion.com/.
Our idea was not only to just join it together, but also to have our characters have a partially shared backstory and a common goal. Due to this site having a lot of super-strong characters and there being little chance for any noob to surpass these ever we thought it would be good to group together. And fun.

This forum is heavily anime-based, and as such has a lot of demigods, demons and generally magical people. After reading through their history section however, I came to notice that pure humans seem to have only a marginal role in the forum's world. Countries are often controlled by a single person, usually the 'strongest' around, and humans seem to have little to no voice in things. In this world, wouldn't humans be considered second-class citizens, often physically, magically and mentally inferior to other races? That's how I interpret it at least.
Based on this interpretation, I thought the backstory for our characters could be that our common goal is to further the interests of humanity and try to restore some Old World glory (the old world is what my character would call the planet Earth before it was taken over by magical creatures and renamed Haven). My idea for a character is an illusionist (which is actually not so important for the character) who is a historian with a great interest in the Old World, its culture, ideals and technology and wishes to restore and organize humanity to the point of at least resembling its old glory.

Thoughts? Cheers of jubilation and a shared desire to make this happen? You tell us.

It would appear that being a normal human isn't an option from what i see.

You just choose spellcaster, metahuman or alchemist, but write your story so that you would have started off as an ordinary human but gained powers somehow (made into cyborg, developed powers, whatev.).
All that's really important is not being inhuman (demonic, angelic, ancient, etc) and supporting the cause of humanity.
