Janice laughs in excitement, "You're pretty good at this!" She sends Jeannie a sincere smile then goes to play a particularly complex set of keys, her tongue peeking out the side of her lips in concentration.

Janice, taking advantage of her break in keys, turns to look at the pizza counter. They seem to be pulling some pizzas out of the oven now. Her stomach grumbles, "They seem like they're almost done~!"

She excitedly shreds a few more keys, dancing with Jeannie. This newfound pizza knowledge gives her determination.

This Feels Like a Cliche Murder Mystery - Page 15 Empty Re: This Feels Like a Cliche Murder Mystery

Post by Rozmer February 2nd 2017, 12:55 am

Thank you Rozmer said, relieved to have to go to any extreme links to get the book in his possession. With a nod in Nadia's direction, he would float silently towards her, passing through her body harmlessly should she choose not to move. Crossing the plane of her bed he was now adjacent to the closet. Turning back to her, he'd speak once more.

I don't intend on tampering with the box, no worries. He said, opening the closet doors. Just as the woman had said, inside was the box that no doubt contained the book. Reaching out, Rozmer's hand would slip unimpeded through the protective container instead going to wards the prize inside. Grasping it, the eldritch tome would phase out along with his hand and pass through the sealed box as though it wasn't even there. He would then turn his body to face the woman once more, the tome held firmly now in both hands.

You've done the right thing, giving this to me that is. Maybe it doesn't seem like it now, but...well just thank you. He would shoot an earnest smile, satisfied that his work here was completed. Well, almost completed. I just have one more question before I take this somewhere safe and destroy it. Where's Jeanie?

Nadia opens and closes her mouth, trying to form words, yet being unable to figure out which ones. She huffed, childish, she knows, but justified. "Ah suppose all the effort ah put into that didn't matter in the end," she muttered.

Nadia nodded slightly, she gave the man a look. Hopefully this was the right decision, it's not like she had too much of a choice anyways. "Ah suppose we'll see," she said.

"Jeannie? She's on a date, found a cute brit in the IHop and they hit it off."

-

Janice shredded through the final keys on the game, excitedly awaiting their scores. She totally won this-

It was a tie.

Janice pouted, it seems her Guitar Hero skills needed some polishing. "Hey," she called. "I will go get the pizza, you g find some seats!" She winked and walked off to the pizza counter.

Janice grabs their pizza at the speed of light, she had a stomach and a date to feed! She prances over to the table that Jeanie had procured for them and adds a posh lilt to her already heavy English accent, "Here you go, madam~!" She bends minutely at the waist and delicately places the pizza on the table. "Dinner is served." She chuckles lightly and plops down into the seat across from Jeannie.

Janice chuckles lightly, "Yes, I suppose this is quite ironic!" She takes a slice of the pizza and puts it onto one of the little paper plates they were provided with.

"A little bit of good food can go a long way, right?" She jokes amusedly. "Clearly, it is a sign written in the stars, we were always meant to be." Janice laughs brightly.

Janice shrugs and takes a bite of her pizza, "I don't really believe in it, yea? It just... sounds nice to say it I suppose." She chuckles a bit at Jeannie's pizza commentary.

Janice shrugs, uncertainly. "Well, it seems to me just as likely as Santa being real, it's only somethin' that you tell your kids to feel better. And even is it is real, I'd much rather be able to choose my own way than have it already planned out and have no choice in the matter."
