The Looks

Jubal is a rather average looking person, he doesn't really stand out among the crowd even if he tries to, short black hair in a standard split down the middle combing. Average in the looks department as well though no one could classify him as fugly he certainly doesn't fit into the handsome category either with his lackluster appearance, his eyes are a pleasant dark green but hardly eye catching to most people. His complexion darkened by both his time spent in the sun and his heritage as a half thai half american, he stands a little taller than most as six foot two with a fit form. He isn't overly large but neither is he small, he keeps himself in good shape though he is far from ripped like some, his muscles are powerful but not overly evident underneath clothing as he doesn't build muscles to show off.

The Legacy

Personality: Jubal never has and never really will be an emotional person, don't get the wrong idea he feels like everyone else he isn't a robot with no personality but he is not one that really gives other people the chance to see what he is really feeling. He tends to keep his emotions to himself as best he can as he doesn't believe in burdening others with his emotions, in some ways he sees it as a sort of kindness keeping things to himself so others don't have to worry about him. He tries to see things from everyone's perspective which often leads him to debating with himself and with others, he enjoys a good debate often frustrating other people to the point of it becoming an argument rather than a debate. He tends not to vocalize things as he expects others to just understand it because he does and as a result others often feel like he doesn't truly pay attention to them or care about them because he doesn't know how to express himself like most people.

Jubal can be a warm hearted and loyal person to those he cares for and yes he does have people he cares for, if someone is willing to put their life on the line for him he is willing to do the same for them. Jubal however does not view such a bond as something simple or to be thrown away, he also does not believe that family comes in the form of blood only, in fact he believes family not of blood can sometimes be stronger than those who are actually related to one another. He keeps these people close to him as he knows the value of having those that you can trust and those who trust you, Jubal doesn't really have that many people he can trust or care about the way others care about many.

In truth Jubal can also be very cold especially to those that have no relation to him, it isn't as though he hats everyone else in fact he doesn't really feel much at all towards those who aren't in his circle. But at the same time he can feel an extreme amount of hate towards some who commit horrible acts such as animal abuse, rape, torture, these acts he finds to be unforgivable and believes that the perpetrators deserve the worst kind of punishments. He also believes that the majority of the human race isn't worth keeping around because they have been corrupted from the inside out by years and years of horrible behavior that have become normal to those that hear of them or see them. His belief is that the justice system that has been established is a pathetic shell of what it should be, he believes it is too lenient on those who commit crimes thus breeding more criminal activity around the world because they feel as if there is no real danger to them.

History: Jubal was born in america with an american father and a thai mother, his mother was originally in thailand when Jubal's father met her and convinced her to come to america with him, however she was unable to leave her family behind so Jubal's father helped bring them over as well. Jubal's grandfather on his mother's side opened up a thai restaurant that also doubled as a gym for fighting, they'd often let customers come up and challenge fighters, if they could score a knockdown or last for three rounds their meal was free regardless of how much it would have been. Jubal grew up watching fighters and also eventually became one when he was ten though he didn't compete in any of the restaurants matches until he was a teenager, he looked up to his grandfather who was strong even in his seventies.

When Jubal was sixteen his grandfather was killed in a hit and run incident, the people described the driver as completely drunk when he got out of the car to see what he hit and when he saw it was a person he drove away. The man was later identified but the sentence was only a few months in prison and counseling for his alcoholism along with the taking of his license for some time, the man was rich and well connected which is why he got such a short sentence even though he been caught driving drunk twice before but never hit anyone. This was the first incident that made Jubal believe that the current justice system doesn't work, he felt completely let down and wanted to kill the man himself that's how angry he was towards the drunk asshole who killed his grandfather, he never got the chance as the man hung himself in prison as the guilt of killing someone else ate at him everyday until he couldn't take it anymore.

Jubal wasn't sure if he should be happy or upset that the man killed himself, after some time he pushed the incident to the back of his mind instead of constantly thinking about it. Jubal grew up relatively normal and joined the military when he was twenty, he served in the military for three years without incident until he found out that a higher ranked officer had been using his position to pressure female grunts into doing things for him, enraged Jubal thoroughly beat the man until he was unconscious. Instead of getting rewarded or praised for his actions Jubal was discharged from the military dishonorably and that officer was only given a demotion because he knew the right people, Jubal was of course furious and this was the second incident in his life that made him hate the way things are run. After being discharged from the military Jubal wasn't sure what he was going to do, he could have worked at the restaurant that his grandfather had opened but after his grandfather's death he had never set foot back in there because without his grandfather there Jubal felt like there was nothing for him there either.

While Jubal was still contemplating the decisions he had yet to make he was approached by a geneticist who worked for the government in a program that was of course not allowed to be known to the public. He gave Jubal a survey that gave him a thorough look in the mind of Jubal and when he was satisfied he invited Jubal into the program, Jubal was hesitant at first because he had no idea what kind of experimentation he was going to be put through but if these powers worked he would have the power to actually change things so he accepted the invitation. 'Shockingly' things did not end well, the experimentation was painful and often Jubal wondered if he was going to die like many of the other test subjects, he heard some of them went insane from the testing and the staff had to put them down.

A few days after Jubal began to exhibit his powers the facility they were staying at began to shake, the underground facility soon began to collapse, one of the test subjects who had gone insane had began to wildly use his powers and he was far stronger than they imagined. The result ended up being the entire facility being destroyed and many of the people there were killed or presumed dead as they couldn't find all of the bodies due to it being so deep underground. Jubal barely managed to survive thanks to his newly formed powers and rather than coming forward he let them assume that he had died in the facility along with many of the others before secluding himself to discover the extent of his abilities without interruption.

The Powers and Weaknesses

Powers

Power 1: Sound manipulation, Jubal has the ability to control sound waves in many different ways, he can intensify sound to the point of a concussive blast or wrap it around is body as a defensive shield to shatter incoming attacks. His ability is most effective when using his voice but it is not limited to just his voice, using all of his body allows him to be more fluid with his ability, with his ability Jubal can speed up or slow down the sound of things around him. He can also pinpoint specific sounds by completely blocking out the other sounds, he has a whisper ability which allows him to make sounds of his own like people whispering into ears, random cars that sound like they are right on a person. By using echolocation Jubal can also 'see' without the use of his eyes, due to his use of sound Jubal has near perfect immunity to sounds that could damage normal ears, however if he used too much power or was outmatched by another sound user it is possible to deafen him.

Weakness(es)

Weakness 1: Jubal's ability is versatile and powerful but it isn't all powerful by any stretch of the imagination, if one had the ability to nullify sound completely Jubal's ability would be useless leaving him with only the capabilities of a normal human. If one has the ability to absorb sound as well it would make it difficult for Jubal to do damage directly with his ability, he would have to indirectly damage the opponent by using other objects.

Weakness 2: Other than his power Jubal is a normal human which makes him rather easy to kill under the right circumstances.

Weakness 3: Jubal can sometimes become single minded to the point of obsession especially if someone has managed to anger him though it isn't limited to anger, for example if he were to decide that he wanted say the president's suit even though it would do nothing for him and would cause a lot of problems Jubal would still go for said suit. This doesn't just go for items, if Jubal finds himself focusing on a person he will do whatever he can to insure that he accomplishes his task to that person, if he is trying to court that person he will go to extreme lengths to make them like him, if he wants to help them he will do whatever he can to help them, if he wants to kill them he will do whatever he can to kill them even if it means killing himself in the process. This trait is most often shown when Jubal debates with other people as he never seems to just be able to drop the debate unless he has won it which of course usually gets on the nerves of others.
