The Legacy

Personality: Has a pretty cool personality.

History:Christian was born to one of the four magical families, the Hale family being the one that he was born into. While he was not born under the head of the family, his mother did have a good amount of sway within their expansive family. His parents union was not exactly smiled upon, considering that his father was from The Caster family and they tend to have a large amount of enmity with the Hale family. From a young age he showed himself to be a capable mage with an impressive amount of magical energy, an amount that had not been seen since The Crimson Witch herself. The first magical talent that he seemed to show was that he could see and talk to spirits from a young age. In fact he could see them before he could even talk, constantly finding himself surrounded by the dead as if his presence soothed them.

Infact he was born with a strange mark on his right shoulder, one that resembled a star. Magical marks forming on some family members was not an unknown thing, and it tended to show that the child was born for some great destiny. Still, his medium abilities were something that made his mother worry when it came to potential spirit possessions and so powerful magical protection was weaved over him to prevent that from happening. Thanks to that happening, it prevented what could have been a very dangerous thing from happening, but then again that was not the only problem within his life. While his older brother showed proficiency within the enchanting arts that his family was known for, he was inclined more towards the dark arts such as blood magic and necromancy. This was something that he had likely inherited from his father and that was when his training began with him.

From the age of seven he trained within the dark arts, starting with the lesser spells of necromancy such as raising the dead. Doing that within itself was not difficult as he started with small things such as rats and even insects which were easy enough to rise from the dead. Infact he showed exceptional skill within necromancy, enough so that it was almost worrying. His training continued from his young age until he would be considered a master within most of the arts, though aside from that he tried to live a semi-normal life. While this was not completely impossible, it was something that he had to put some work into considering the whole seeing spirits thing

The Powers and Weaknesses

Powers

Mediumship:Christian is capable of seeing and communicating with spirits, as well as even touching them. A secondary application of this is even letting his body be used as a vessel for spirit to act through. By doing so he can make use of their skills while doing so.

Necromancy:Christian is a skilled necromancer, and through the application of the energy within his body he can channel life into nearby corpses and animate them. These undead can range from dead insects to even people.

Dark Magic: Christian is a powerful Dark magician that can cast spells of a very dark nature.

Spell list:

Blood Bite: By adding his blood to a spell, he can increase the range and power of the spell.
Black Flames: Christian can create a stream of black flames that burn whatever they touch, even water. When imbued with blood, the flames burn even hotter.
Screaming Shield: Creates a shield before him that releases a piercing scream that affects everyone except him. When imbued with blood, the shield is more difficult to break through and screams louder.
Silence: Can cast a silence over the entire area that cancels out all sound.
Death Sight: He can see the sources of any death within the area, even the minute amount that all mortal beings create.
Despair: Creates a glob of biting acid that he throws. When imbued with blood, the acid is more potent.
Respite from Death: By destroying one of his undead minions, Christian can repair himself. [The larger the minion the greater the healing.]
Dancing Blades: He conjures six blades of dark energy that react to his thoughts, moving through the air as he wishes them to. WHen imbued with blood, the blades are more durable.
Miasma: Christian breathes out a corrosive mist that burn everything that it touches. When imbued with blood, the misama also obscures vision.
Plague: Conjures a cloud of locusts that try to eat everything within their wake.
Scry: By placing a drop of his blood over a mirror or into a reflective pool of water, he can see a distant location.
Pain: By letting a drop of his blood touch someone else, it will sink into their body and allow him to instill immense pain within them. [Permission based for PC's]
Hell blades: He can conjure multiple serrated blades from the ground around him, each of these blades capable of cutting even superhumans. When cast with blood, the blades are larger and longer.
Spirit Chains: He conjures chains that exist on both the corporeal and incorporeal planes, that are capable of capturing anything with impressive force.
Release from death: Through the use of a special item, should he ever die his spirit will return to this item and begin to reform a body over that.
Wisps: He creates five orbiting wisps of spirit fire around him which can be projected towards a target and explode. They don't cause physical damage however, and actually damage the soul. The damage is felt through intense fatigue and difficulty in using any limb affected by the attack. The worst that can happen through this spell is that someone would pass out When imbued with blood, they have a greater range explosion..
Grasping hands: Creates four shadowy arms that form from his back that exhibit a greater than human strength. When imbued with blood they form sharp claws from the tips of their fingers. [Individuallythey could potentially lift around 1,000 lbs]
Change form: A spell that allows him to change into another person, though it requires the person's DNA. Preferably their blood.
Bend Will: He can exert his will over lesser life forms, such as animals. This allows him to manipulate them to his will, with great effort he can do this to one person. [permission required]
Decaying Touch: By infusing his hand with necrotic energy, he can cause the rapid decay of anything he touches.
Bloody Weapon: He can forcibly mold his blood into a weapon that extends from his arm. This involves using his own magical energy to force his blood cells to rapidly multiply to the point that it can form large weapons.

Weakness(es)

Uncooperative: Sometimes the spirits he talks to can be unreliable and even lie to him at times.

Corpses: Considering that he is making zombies, they tend to not have any higher brain functions and are in essence stupid. So anyone that had any amount of cunning could potentially outwit the undead.

Light Magic: Light magic tends to more easily shut down or break through his spells.

Anti magic wards: Anti-magic wards can cancel out his magic within a certain area.

Holy Water: Strangely enough his undead tend to burst into flames and fall apart when exposed to holy water.

Still human: Despite his impressive magical power, he is still human and can be killed like one.

Limits: While using the spirit chains, he cannot use any of his other spells.

Claustrophobia: He has a fear of enclosed spaces and will freak out should he be forced into them. He even feels uneasy when indoors.

Immense Pain: Using the decaying touch is incredibly painful and so he can only use it for twenty seconds at the most.

Silver: A large portion of his spells are unable to effect silver.

Water: His acidic spell Despair can be watered down with exposure to water.

Concentration: Should his concentration be broken, his bend will spell can waver or even break down completely.

Heat: His bloody weapons can be broken down or made weaker through exposure to heat.

Holy Magic: Holy magic tends to do better and even dispel his own magics.

Cold Iron: Due to the latent fae blood within him, Christian is sensitive to the feel of it and this can be used to disrupt his spell casting.

Fire: Fire in particular is very efficient in dealing with his plague spell, enough so that it is the easiest way to do so.

Lack of Materials: Without any corpses to supply him, he cannot use his respite from death spell.

Ghosts: Upon channeling a spirit through him, he usually is unable to fully control what they do with his body.
