Lynn laid on the couch in her and Molly's apartment. A book hovered a few inches above her face and her eyes scanned that pages. The TV was on in the background, but really only as background noise. It was an interesting book, but it was around her fourth time reading it. She couldn't afford a new book, the budget didn't allow it and they were running low on money from the last con. She needed to think up a new con soon before they ran out of money for food of next month's rent. She flipped through the pages of the book and then the next thing she knew Molly was laying on top of her and her books had flown across the room. Their faces were only two inches away from each other.

"Yes Molly?" asked Lynn curiously. Usually Molly would do this if Lynn was playing a game with out her or there was something important she needed to tell her.

"So... I keep forgetting to tell you but a few days ago I put up an add for a roommate cause we have those two extra rooms we don't use and since you haven't thought of a con in a while I thought this would be a good way to get more money so we can focus on other things... Like honey buns, cause I'm almost out." said Molly with an innocent smile on her face.

"You should of told me about this before, Do you really think it's smart to get a roommate? We are con-artists." Sighed Lynn.

"It was this or I whore you out. But unlike you I'm nice and thought about your feelings first." said Molly with a smirk. "Anyway they should be here soon and I should warn you. I didn't say they had to be a girl, so... this person might be male."

"What?" said Lynn alarmed. "Hell it would of been awkward enough with a girl considering but... do you know what? Fine you win. Now get off me your squishing my boobs you fat ass." Lynn reached up and pinched Molly in the side, which got a high pitched squeal out of her. Not a second after that there was a knock on the door. "We'll work on your Honey Bun addiction later. You put the add out so you answer the door. And I only did that once, beside you enjoyed it. I should know, I felt it when we fused after."

Molly got up and went to go answer the door and greet the person at the door.

It was a heavy price for her leaving home now that she had no where to go. She had in her compressed bag over 200 gold pieces of coins and she did not know what to spend them on. Everything was handed to her in the palace but she never knew how much to bring if she was going to the market so she just asked for a little not knowing what would happen. If she would have known she would have brought a lot more.

She over heard a guy who was holding a paper saying he would gladly leave his house to go live with those two. She did not understand what he meant so she looked for herself. As she reached in the trash a cricket jumped on her and as it did she unleashed a ear wrecking squeal. She waved her hand and knocked the bug off. She took a deep breath as she watched it hop away. She glared at it then reached again and grabbed the paper. She now knew these two girls were letting people pay to stay in their rooms, but she did not know where to go. She wondered around looking at different streets, but it made no since. Men's Ville Avenue was that and all guy town or something? She question as she decided not to try the street. These people are weird. Back at home the signs either said food, bathrooms, or magic and more. Not where the guys are?

She stopped people in the hope that someone could help her. It was mostly stares at her awesome boobs,or just plain ignoring because she also looked like a hooker. Some people helped her and later she finally found the place. She looked at the paper and back at the house and it seemed to be right. She ran up the steps with a giant grin on her face and knocked on the door she heard commotion inside, but she tried her best not to break down the door and see what was wrong. She rechecked her wings making sure they were hidden, but it was always cramping them. It was a small price to pay, but she was willing. She heard someone walking up to the door now all she had to do is wait and not jump them at the knowing she has somewhere to stay.

A new roomate... wait, what? Empty Re: A new roomate... wait, what?

Post by Brorschach March 28th 2013, 12:27 am

Isaac stood in front of the cracked glass and checked himself carefully, his messy hair and unshaven look not exactly the best for what he was going to do. It hadn't been easy to keep his suit clean even with its unusual. Thoughts filled his head about the apartment he'd seen an add for. Low rent, three bedrooms and it wasn't in too bad of a spot -especially considering some of the worse neighborhoods in Atlanta-. Looking down at the shred of paper he had, the place wasn't far from his current place of residence. Ever since he'd woken up in this time, Isaac had been traveling around, bumming rides off of strangers or renting cheap cars. It wasn't easy, his records claimed him legally dead and any legitimate work was hard to obtain when he had to watch out for Azrael or Nolan. Hell, he could barely work a full day at a temp job without being fired. It wasn't it easy.

Sighing, he could feel the needling sensation at the edge of his brain that meant one of them was about to talk. It wasn't persistent and it didn't hurt, more of a gentle prodding, the sort you might feel from a friend tapping your shoulder to get your attention. It was Nash.

Isaac my good man, I'm aware of the dire straits out combined presence has left you in so while I do apologize, might I attempt to improve your opinion with a suggestion?

Isaac could see the wheels turning within his own little partitioned off place. The suggestion was obvious and if it had come from any the others, he would have rejected it out of hand.

You seem to already be aware of what I am going to ask, but on the off chance that you are wrong, I'll speak it aloud. I would ask that you allow me to be the foremost persona in our interview with potential room-mates he requested confidently. Rather oddly, Isaac found himself considering it. None of the others could be trusted not to wreak havoc or -in Elton's case- destroy his lungs. Nash stood as the sole exception amongst the group. Yet another needling sensation began nagging at him, though this was like that of a enemy combatant choking you with his last breath, it reeked of desperation and hatred so pungent that Isaac nearly threw up in the sink.

If you're going to let out that pathetic weakling then you might as well just die. Give me control you festering wretch, allow me to spread my wings and eliminate all those in my path

The voice was deep and held a hissing contempt for life. It was Azrael. He was getting in one of his moods again. Isaac could feel his own heart beginning the pulse, the slightest tinge of red encroaching on the edge of his vision. Unlike before, he had time now, time to think. Time to act. Reaching into his pocket, Isaac withdraw a small syringe gun and placed it against his neck, feeling the medicine enter his bloodstream. A cry of rage echoed throughout his skull, Isaac's hand yanking the device away, but it was too late. The medication was coursing inside him, already having wormed its way into his head. The scream continued, promising death and torment as it began to fade. Azrael was gone for the moment, the stimulant affecting the part of Isaac's brain in which he resided.

Within his head, Nash coughed.

Once again, I apologize for him. His outburst may seem to weaken my point but please do consider it, we aren't all like him.
He said, his voice still confident, though an apologetic tone had appeared within its confines.

A part of Isaac was laughing. Of course they were different. He'd known that for nearly fifty years now and yet it was still something Nash seemed to worry about.

"Alright, you can take her for a spin, just try not to bore them to tears" he said, taking a deep breath and allowing Nash to come to the forefront.

Brown hair turned blonde and shortened, the mid range voice deepened though not frighteningly so, eyes changed from hazel to steely blue. He was angelic in appearance, his suit changing to a pure white to complete the appearance.

Nash looked at himself in the mirror and smiled, removing a single loose hair that had fallen onto his shoulder. Now was the time to make a good impression. Perhaps if all went well, Isaac would ease up on the others, let them try and prove themselves as well. He knew that Simon could be helped, he just needed to grow up a little, even Nolan just needed a little love. Azrael on the other hand... well he would take some work. It was a better idea to help the other two so that he could show the poor violence obsessed man how much happier they were once they stopped focusing on such horrid things. Exiting the bathroom, Nash strode through the gas station and into the streets. It was a wonderful day. The sun was shining, the birds were chirping, and life was everywhere. Cars whizzed by, a wash of bright colors that only served to enhance his mood. Today was going to be a good day, one in which he secured them a more permanent place of residence and helped improve the lives of everyone around him.

Checking the scrap of paper with the address, he began to look for numbers on buildings.

2228, 2229, 2030... AH 2031 he thought, spinning on his heel and walking in the front door. He recalled the flyer, though Isaac had been the one who read it. The apartment was on the third floor and the elevator was still on the seventeenth. It was either wait to take the elevator or climb the stairs. Putting his finger to his chin, Nash quickly decided to take the stairs.

"Never say no to some good old fashioned exercise" he chimed to the empty lobby and began walking up the cheaply designed stairwell. To him, it was like climbing the marble staircase to heaven itself. He wasn't delusion of course, simply optimistic. As he exited, Nash found that the hallway he had entered into was poorly lit, though that was the result of eco-friendly lamps rather than any failing on the electrician's part.

"Good to see the landlord taking consideration for the environment into account" he said smiling, not a hint of sarcasm in his voice. Making his way, he turned a corner and saw a woman with oddly colored hair standing in front of a door looking expectant. As he strode up to her, he spoke.

"Hello there miss, did you see the 'tenant wanted' advertisement as well?"

A new roomate... wait, what? Empty Re: A new roomate... wait, what?

Molly opened the door. A strangely dressed girl stood outside. But considering that Lynn and herself dressed in clothes for going to clubs most of the time it wasn't surprising.

"Come on in, there are some chairs in the living room." said Molly warmly, pointing in the direction of where Lynn was. She also spotted a man further down the hallway and waited for him to get to the apartment. He inquired about the ad and she nodded him and directed him to the main living space.

Molly closed the door and walked back into the apartment, sitting next to Lynn.

"The man is kinda cute I'll give you that." whispered Lynn to Molly in an undertone. Molly smirked at that and then spoke up.

"I am guessing you both are here because of the ad we put out." said Molly warmly. "My name is Molly and this is Lynn, we are the main renters of the apartment but due to some money issues we are willing to share the space. As you may of read in the add this apartment has 3 bedrooms but there are 4 of us here. Well don't worry, Lynn and I have been sharing a room so there will be plenty of room or you both. There are two bathroom. One is connected to the master bedroom where Lynn and I are staying. The other one is connected to both of the rooms you will be staying in so please be careful when having to use the bathroom and remember to lock both doors after yourself." Molly nudged Lynn, meaning she wanted her to add on to what she said.

"Cleaning and cooking will be split as evenly as possible. Although I prefer not to cook unless you all like charred food." said Lynn. She then pointed over to a pair of sliding glass doors. "We do have a balcony. So if any of you smoke do it out there or we will throw you out on your ass. And as you can see we do have a treadmill and some weighs over by the part of the door that doesn't open. We have it there so we could look out side while we work out, but for as long as you stay here you may use them."

Lynn looked around a bit more trying to think of more to say but Molly chimed in. "We do have a playstation 3, you may use it if you ask. Also anything in the fridge will be up or grabs as long as there is no name on it. Also please knock before entering any of the bedrooms that are not yours."

"Any questions?"

A new roomate... wait, what? Empty Re: A new roomate... wait, what?

Post by Lady Angeline March 28th 2013, 12:00 pm

As the man randomly came up and said something to her she almost jumped across the hall not expecting another person to randomly show up on the same time she did. She immediately looked back at the door trying to stay calm. She twirled her thumbs around each other as she waited. When the door open she was relieved to see other women like herself. She was still scared of them too.

When the girl said to come in she slowly walked in probably slower than a baby crawling on the ground. She looked around and she gave good comments on the apartment. It was not big and spacious compared to the giant castle thing she stayed in. But if anything this would be a good learning experience. She sat down to where they pointed seeing the other girl already in the living room. She listened as they talked about what was in the apartment and wondered what they could possibly mean by some of the things they said.

When they said the balcony she at least knew what that was but she ended up staring out of the glass for a few minutes missing the conversation about the bathrooms. She looked back at the girl and asked how much did it cost and which room would be hers. She only had Gold Luminous Coins with her and she did not know ho much it would be. She crossed her legs and stretched her hands up in the air which partially pulled her pullover over her wings. She immediately pulled it back down not wanting to have to leave because she was different. The two girls looked very excited to have them two there so i bet they wouldn't care if she pulled out her wings, but she wasn't going to try. She needed this place to stay really badly and she couldn't do nothing to mess it up. It was a risk that she wasn't going to take.

She moved herself over on the couch, but had to stop part way so she didn't crush her wings. She sighed as she knew fitting in would be very hard; especially in the act of letting no one know that she had powers.

A new roomate... wait, what? Empty Re: A new roomate... wait, what?

Post by Brorschach March 28th 2013, 10:06 pm

The door was answered by a lovely young woman with yet another unnatural hair color. First pink, now blue. The fun didn't stop there, oh no. Waiting within was a girl with hair the color of a verdant field, dressed almost identically to what he assumed was her sibling. Well, either that or they were in an obsessively close homoerotic relationship with one another, though he wasn't inclined to believe that until they displayed something more in common than odd hair colors and similar style of dress. The little pink haired girl seemed exceptionally nervous though he couldn't imagine why. These two seemed friendly enough. Why, almost immediately after he'd entered the blue haired one had deigned to give both her friend's names. Molly and Lynn. Good old fashioned names, rather at odds with their style of dress, though he supposed he wasn't much one to talk.

"It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance Molly, and yours as well Lynn. I'm..." He began, realizing the fragility of the situation. While it was true that he was in control at the moment, for the most part, this body belonged to Isaac. He would have to come up with some excuse, some explanation. Now was the time to truly show his salt, to prove to Isaac that he and the rest were more than simple burdens.

"My name is Isaac and I'm an actor. I'm very much into the philosophy that some have taken to calling 'method' acting and when I'm in one of my roles, I take it very seriously. For the moment, please call me Nashville, or Nash for short" He said, a pleasant smile settling on his face. In the back of his mind, the blonde haired man heard something that sounded like four collective groans followed by a drowsy mumble that might have passed for a death threat had it been more serious.

Really blondie, an actor? Bro you might as well have told these bitches you were a mothafuckin cosplayer, I mean come the fuck on! What're you gonna tell them? 'Oh hi ladies, I'm playing six different roles all the fuckin time, oh let me also mothafuckin mention that one of em wants to eat your fuckin guts and paints the goddamn walls in your shiny red blood', Seriously, you must be some kinda mothafuckin moron if you think they'd buy that shit. Ah whatever, I'm just gonna sit back and watch you blow your shot harder than a Thai hooker on discount fridays. Nolan said, his voice followed by a horrid cackle at his own sick joke.

I hate to agree with him Nash, but that excuse was kinda weak. I'll have to come up with something else to tell them.

Isaac...

Whatever, it's fine, just try not to make up anything else. I'll handle that aspect. Isaac said, a sort of irritability in his voice that he usually reserved for speaking to Nolan or Simon.

Though the smile remained on his face, a frown tugged at its corners as Nash shook himself from the internal conversation and resumed the outer one.

"Yes, as I was saying, this place looks perfect. Your rules are fair and I can absolutely abide by them. Oh, also: You ladies needn't worry about any encounters of the perverse kind, I'm a gentlemen and to even consider such a thing is shameful" He continued, entirely unaware of how odd he sounded with such an out-of-nowhere comment like that. Striding over to the glass door, he gently opened it and stepped out onto the balcony, breathing deep of the city air.

"Such a wonderful day. Well, how much will you be expecting of me every month?" He queried, his glance briefly resting on the pink haired girl who had yet to introduce herself. Though her demeanor worried him, Nash feared that attempting to confront her on it would only make things worse. Instead, he contented himself with a soft smile and a concerned look in her direction.

A new roomate... wait, what? Empty Re: A new roomate... wait, what?

Post by Artemis March 28th 2013, 11:24 pm

Lynn looked at the two while Molly talked. The girl didn't talk, just seemed to stare off into the distance. But the man introduced himself as Issac. He said he was an actor but Lynn doubted it. It sounded like it was made up on the spot. Like something her and Molly would say when they first started to con people. Lynn let out a small snort when Issac promised no "perverse encounters".

"Well this just got a lot more boring." teased Lynn. "As for the matter of rent everyone will pay a fourth, that saying you both decide to stay here. Currently the rent is $1,200. So Molly and I would pay $600 while you each pay $300. Rent is currently paid for so you have a month to get the money if you don't have it already. Keep in mind that Molly and I will be the main renters so when push comes to shove we can chose who stays and who goes." After she finished Molly stood up.

"Now if you follow me I'll show you all the rooms. Even though right not you can see the living area, kitchen and balcony. So i'll show you where all the rooms and bathrooms are." said Molly standing up, Lynn standing up right after. She led them closer to the entrance and opened a door they passed on their way in. "This is the Master Bedroom. Where Lynn and I stay. The master bath is on the far side." As for the bed room it was a pretty good size. It has it's own TV in it and a one king size bed. Along with other bed room related stuff. Exciting that room Molly led them in the direction of the kitchen and turned down a hallway. The hall way had 3 doors. "Oh and quick note feel free to eat anywhere as long as you clean up after yourself. We have no official table but the kitchen does have counters with stools so you can eat there."

"The first door will be Issac's room. It has a twin size bed and is fully furnished and has one window." said Lynn. "The middle door is the hallway entrance to the second bathroom. Unlike the master bath it only has a standing shower and not a tub, but if you really need to take a bath ask us and we will let you use the tub in the master bath. It also has a toilet and sink and a mirror like any normal bathroom. The bathroom does connect the two rooms and the locks are on the inside of the doors so make sure you lock it when using the bathroom The far door if you haven't guessed is the 3rd bedroom. It is identical to the first bedroom except this one has two windows. And will be... umm... Sorry what did you say your name was? I mean that will be your room and if are going to stay here if might be nice to know it."

The duo game it a moment to let them investigate the rooms and let it all sink in. "So shall we get the paper work signed?" Asked Lynn after a while.

Example floor plan (sorry it's hard to see):

A new roomate... wait, what? Empty Re: A new roomate... wait, what?

Post by Lady Angeline March 29th 2013, 12:26 am

As she walked with the group trying to figure out how much the gold was worth she looked at all the rooms. The rooms were nice and she adored some of the great things they had. Although this PSP thing they had was something new that she had no idea of what it could possibly be. She looked at it trying to figure out the magical device. She hurried and kept up with the group looking at all the rooms.

Then the girl asked her name. Oh mm yeah my name...um my name is...um mm... Angeline. She said this under her voice as if she was to scared to say it. She was more on looking around but she had to let them know of her now. She told them what they needed to know, but now she needed to pay them. Forgetting about the money she opened the door and looked at her room. She was impressed on the looks especially since everything she had was gold and it blinded her sometimes. She did not care for where she use to live plus the room was cozy. Her eyes opened up widely and she smiled widely showing she loved it.

She walked back over to the two girls and reached around her back. She grabbed her bag and looked through it. She couldn't reach that far into it other wise they would know it was bigger than appeared. She pulled out one of the gold coins she had lodged under her bow. She did not want to bring that out other wise she would give herself away. The coin was as big as the palm of her hand so it was heavy and big. I...I hope this is enough...if its not I'll find this money your looking for if needed. Her smile had faded before she went over to them because she was busy in thought. She was prepared to mull out more if it was not enough.

A new roomate... wait, what? Empty Re: A new roomate... wait, what?

Post by Brorschach March 29th 2013, 7:45 pm

Nash followed the girls as they lead him and the other potential tenant around the rather spacious apartment. First stop was his room, well Isaac's actually, but his by extension. It wasn't too big and the view wasn't particularly spectacular, but to him, it was magnificent. Delving into memories hat weren't really his, Nash looked at the cramped army bunk that Isaac had been forced to dwell on during his time in the military, compared to that, this place was a castle. A smile still sat upon his face, though he was torn between following the girls for the rest of the tour or simply entering his new dwellings. Of course, as much as he wanted to, the papers hadn't been signed yet so he was obligated to follow them. Not only that of course, but a gentlemen never abandons a lady, especially not for such a selfish reason. So he followed them, standing stoically as Lynn detailed where the tiny woman 'Angeline' would be staying. Nash was glad that there was a room separating him from her. It meant he could converse with Isaac without needing to worry about being overheard. Not only that, but Isaac could make more of his little devices without needing to concern himself in regards to her safety. Lab explosions could be big, but on the level that Isaac usually operated, a room's distance away could make all the difference.

Upon Lynn's declaration that it was time to sign the papers, Nash felt a surge of joy. He had successfully negotiating new living quarters for himself and his compatriots.

"Absolutely, I am positively ecstatic to sign up for such a wonderful residence" He said, flinging his arms out in sort of a 'this-much' gesture in an outdated method of conveying his excitement. Yet another groan sounded in the back of his mind, though this one seemed to originate solely from Nolan.

Come on man, do you have any mothafuckin idea how stupid you look? How stupid you make me look! I mean come the fuck on, quit with all the bitchy farm boy bullshit and catch up with the times sucka. No one does that shit anymore!
He said in a reprimanding tone, a note of embarrassment mixed in. While Nolan himself was far from the perfect gentlemen -or anything nearing a gentlemen in any sense of the word- Nash could see his point. Perhaps he should scale it back just a tad.

Clearing his throat, Nash continued.

"Yes, well needless to say, I'm excited" he continued. His eyes lit up when the small girl spoke and withdrew what appeared to be a solid gold coin from a small sack. The thing was huge, more then that, it seemed to barely fit in her hand at all.

Now Nash himself was not prone to avarice or any emotions of the sort, but the sudden appearance of so much in such an unlikely place startled him. Where on earth was this girl from? If she had monetary wealth so vast that she paid for such mundane things using gold, why on earth was she not staying in a mansion somewhere? Shaking his head, he looked back at Lynn -who seemed the more social of the pair- and extended his right hand.

"Well then, let's shake on it. No deal is complete with a proper handshake" He said.

A new roomate... wait, what? Empty Re: A new roomate... wait, what?

Post by Artemis March 29th 2013, 8:50 pm

Both Lynn and Molly's jaw's dropped. The girl, who had introduced herself as Angeline, had pulled out a large gold coin. Molly couldn't tell what Lynn was thinking but she figured it followed along the lines of mentally freaking out and cursing Issac for showing up. Since he was here they can't con her. To bad, That coin could probably pay the rent for two months, give or take. Either way she would have to change the gold into cash so they could actually pay the landlord.

"Umm... wow... Angeline. I'm not even going to ask how you got that but that is probably worth more then 300 dollars." said Molly. "Besides rent this month is paid, you don't have to worry till next month. But Lynn and I know some people and we can get that changed to actual currency." She saw Lynn shooting her a dirty look from the corner of her eye, but what else was she going to do? She couldn't straight up lie to Angeline, at least not with Issac here. Angeline seemed to be a bit of a space case but Issac seemed to have his head on straight, be it a little weird. Molly reached over to close Angeline's hand over the gold coin. "Hold onto it till then, keep it in a very safe place."

The gold coin seemed to get Issac's attention, but something about him made Lynn think he wouldn't steal it, but at the same time, she wasn't sure. "Anyway, If you'll follow me back to the Living room Molly will grab the papers and we will get them signed." Lynn walked back to the Living room while Molly slid into their room. Lynn hope she had the papers considering she didn't know about this till pretty much now. Lynn sat on the couch and a few moments later Molly reappeared with a folder and placed it on the coffee table in front of Lynn. Lynn opened the folder and there seemed to be multiple copies of the papers but she only pulled out two. "Ok sign here and here." said Lynn

"By signing these papers means you agree to help pay the rent, help pay for food or any miscellaneous repairs that may happen." Explained Molly. "It also means that even if you leave before next months rent is due you still owe that months rent and failing to do so will be grounds for legal action. Once you are done reading and signing the papers pass them to me and I'll run down to the landlord with the papers and you'll be officially living here and you'll get copies of the keys." Molly waited for the papers. She would leave Lynn here for a few seconds by herself. The other two seemed nice despite being a bit weird. As soon as she gets the papers she would leave.

(ooc: feel free to add some fun to the topic to keep it going. you guys can mention molly leaving with the papers in your next posts if you want, if not i'll just mention when she leaves and returns in my next one)

A new roomate... wait, what? Empty Re: A new roomate... wait, what?

Post by Lady Angeline March 29th 2013, 10:30 pm

As she walked into the living room with the others she dropped the coin in her bag but as it fell it hit the pile of coins and made a loud cling sound. She hurry and shut it and wondered who all heard it. She reached out with a pin in her hand and signed her name on the lines she was provided. She looked up and grinned at the two, but she couldn't smile she was to nervous of them finding out. She backed up and looked at the guy and then watched one of the girls leave the room along with the papers in her hand. They all seemed cool so she probably did not need to keep her guard up all the time. Just in case she would still watch herself.

She sat on the couch and sighed. Now that she was there she did not know what to do first because everything seemed so interesting. She has not really eaten do to the fact no one would take the gold because they did not accept it. What should I do? Everything is so confusing. She did not want to bother them for food because it was disrespectful. She could probably go another day without food no biggie. Her stomach growled really loudly. She bit her finger in the process of trying to think of what to do. Her stomach growled again this time they probably heard it. She blushed and the ran as fast as she could to her room.

When she ran nothing was messed up plus no wind could be felt. She ran fast enough so the did not see her. So it was out of the question. She shut the door behind her, took a really deep breath, and then pressed herself against the door wondering what she was going to do. She raised her knees and basically hugged them in her arms trying to keep herself close. She started to let out a tear in the memory of might not being able to ever return. As she got up she had to fix her wings because they apparently came out with out her knowing. Luckily she got to her room fast enough and quiet enough. As she was fixing her wings she was about to walk out there until she seen one of the feathers next to the guys foot. It must have fallen out and floated over do to the open door to the balcony.

She was now more nervous than ever. If they come asking she would have to play it off or maybe straight up tell them. What if they kicked her out? Where would she go or do to get back under shelter? She looked at the feather again and the shut the door and walked farther in the room. She was now more hungry than ever. When she was nervous she apparently got hungry. She walked over to her bed and sat down and held the pillow up to her face. She felt like hiding everything now even if it was a simple emotion especially if it was sadness. She did not want to leave these people were cool to be around. Please Kami help me through this; I need desperate help. She said this in a small mumble hoping something would happen to help her in this time of need.

A new roomate... wait, what? Empty Re: A new roomate... wait, what?

Post by Brorschach March 30th 2013, 10:00 am

A look of disappointment crossed Nash's face as both Lynn and Molly seemed to ignore his gesture. Back in the day, it was standard practice to shake hands with anyone you were about to -or already had- conducted a successful business venture with. Had times really changed that much? Perhaps not. Perhaps it was simply the youth of the day, or more specifically these two. It didn't mean they were uncivilized or uncouth, simply that they did not engage in that specific tradition. Sighing, the blonde haired man put the matter behind him. After all, no use dwelling on such a minor indiscretion when the key to a new residence was only a few pen strokes away. On the other hand, he noted a certain gleam in the eyes of what he now assumed were sisters. After all, they were sharing a room and neither seemed to give the other glances or trade insincere sexual innuendo as seemed to be customary of the youth in these times. However, that gleam in their eyes and their ill-at-ease manner upon spotting Angeline's rather hefty token was undoubtedly conspiratorial, as though no words passed between them, yet a plan had formed.

Or maybe not.

It was entirely likely he was reading too much into it. After all, given his own sudden shock at the cherry blossom haired girl's monetary unit, it wasn't at all surprising the sisters would trade avaricious looks. Nash himself had little interest in currency beyond its basic use and acquisition of wealth was not even on his list of priorities. Isaac had managed to hack his way into a bank's security system and set up a false account -an act which Nash had given him a stern word of disapproval about later, despite the unfortunate necessary of it brought about by Nolan, Azrael and Simon on his worse days-. At any rate, there was enough money that he would never have to worry about survival, yet he was far from the upper echelons of society. Caught in his thoughts, he'd missed Molly pulling out the lease statements and even Angeline's signature being placed.

"Oh yes, sorry. My head was in the clouds"
he said apologetically, gently grasping the pen and signing Isaac's name on the paper. With the last dash of the X, the deal was sealed and a new home was acquired. Once Molly was gone, Nash turned to go to his room, his stride broken mid step by a loud metallic clank not ten feet away.

"Erm, Angeline, are you all ri-" he started as he turned in the general direction of the sound, his sentence broken by the sudden realization that the small woman had disappeared. No mystery as to where, given the loud slamming sound of a door a mere moment later.

Looking at the door, he saw it briefly open, a small eye seen peeping through the crack before slamming shut again. In the short time it'd been open however, he had followed her gaze. It had led down, though not in the manner of a shy person avoiding eye contact, no it had been focused on something near his feet. Looking down, he saw it: A feather, pink as Angeline's hair. Nash raised his eyebrow, positively puzzled by the strange development. Kneeling down, he picked it up. It was soft and downy, a certain heat about it, as though it had been freshly plucked from a bird. Walking over to the door, feather in hand, he knocked lightly. The only answer he received was a light sobbing and muffled words. Knocking again, no response came.

Sighing, the blonde haired man stared at the door quizzically before his contemplation was broken by a loud screech.

Oh for fuck's sake Nash, just open the damn thing! It was Simon, chiming in with a rare moment of logical speech. While normally Nash would be hesitant to take any of his suggestions, it was either that or just stand there awkwardly.

"Very well" he sighed, turning the knob and stepping in.

"Ms. Angeline, I do apologize for the intrusion, but I believe this... is... yours... Oh my, are you alright?" He began, realizing that the poor girl was crying midway through.

"Did you miss this? I found it on the floor and I assume it belongs to you. It must have belonged to a pet bird of yours" he said, oblivious to the girl's true nature. For the average human being, the fantastic is far from the first avenue of assumption, even more so for one so grounded in -an admittedly rose colored- reality as Nash.

Seeking to comfort the poor girl, he began thinking up a wide and somewhat insane variety of ideas, until his mind settled on a minor detail he had failed to notice before during his musings on money. Her stomach had growled. Loudly. Pointing his finger up in an 'ah-ha' gesture, Nash spoke once more, a comforting smile on his face and his voice filled with its usual confidence.

"My dear, why don't we go out for food? I know of this lovely Italian place just a few blocks away. Ms. Lynn and Ms. Molly could come too of course. My treat" He suggested, his mind focused on the only one of his ideas that wasn't completely out-of-touch with modern society.

A new roomate... wait, what? Empty Re: A new roomate... wait, what?

Post by Artemis March 31st 2013, 9:39 am

Lynn heard what sounded like a coin purse hitting the ground. Her eyes traveled up but only caught of glimpse of gold before Angeline had picked it back up. Lynn wondered how many coin she had in that bag and made sure it looked like she didn't notice the bag. But after the papers where signed Molly grabbed them and was out the door. It should only take less then a minute. After Molly left Angeline sat on the couch and wondered what she should do and that everything was so confusing. Lynn was going to ask what was confusing but then a loud stomach growl was heard. By the time Lynn looked over to Angeline, she was gone. Next thing she heard was a loud slam. Lynn got up and walked over to the door. By the time she got to Agenline's door Issac was already standing in front of her door and he was holding a strange pink feather. But Issac went into the room after knocking. Lynn walked to the door and saw Issac comforting Angeline and eventually offering to take everyone out to eat.

"I know just the place." said Lynn speaking up. "There is a small and affordable comfort food restaurant two block away Molly and I go to when we are feeling down. I'll go get ready." Lynn left the two alone for a moment and left to get her and Molly's stuff ready. She pulled on a small near body-tight black leather jacket over her already body tight clothes and her purse. She grabbed Molly's jacket which was the same only blue and a Molly's purse. A few moments later Molly returned and Lynn walked over to Molly and wrapped her arms around her, placing their foreheads together. "Issac is taking all of us to get food to cheer Angeline up, she seemed a bit overwhelmed. I already got you stuff together they're on the couch." Molly grabbed her stuff and put it on, ready to leave.

"We will point out interesting places on the way over." said Molly

(ooc: feel free to rp over to the restaurant, just mention stuff being pointed out.)

A new roomate... wait, what? Empty Re: A new roomate... wait, what?

Angeline looked at the guy and smiled, then turned into a blush as she shook her head yes. He seemed to know what she was as well as the girl who came in and seen the feather and did not say anything about it. How did they know or was it just a hunch she had. She would make up her mind to show them or not to show them when they get back from the restaurant they were going to.

As she thought about it she grabbed her bag and ran into the bathroom to change. She was blushing, but she also didn't lock the door knowing the guy would not go in since he was in the room. She most definitely knew the guy knows what she was because she did not recall any of the species birds being pink and having such giant wings. She put on some pants, converse, a red v cut neck shirt, and a jacket to keep her wings hidden. She grabbed her bag from the counter and walked out of the bathroom. She looked very beautiful for someone who looked so shy.

She walked over to the guy and said thank you for everything he had done so far. She grabbed the feather and handed it back to the guy. Please keep it, it brings back great memories. Plus it is Magical. As she said this she smiled and ran out of the room to the front door. She was really happy at this point. There was now 3 wonderful and new people in her life. Now she doesn't want to loose what she has. Her stomach lightly grows to where she can hear it. Well time to go she thought to herself.

A new roomate... wait, what? Empty Re: A new roomate... wait, what?

Post by Brorschach April 1st 2013, 7:47 pm

Turning briskly, Nash smiled. "Excellent Ms. Molly, I'm glad you know of a place as well. Since this is your area of residence, I'll trust your judgement on which establishment we'll be eating at" he said, striding out after them. Angeline had changed into an outfit that seemed far more confident and handed him a feather, claiming it was magical in nature. Twirling the feather in his hand, Nash chuckled slightly. He didn't believe in magic, but he didn't have the heart to tell the girl that, especially since she'd said the feather also brought back good memories, so its sentimental value alone made it worth treasuring.
Placing the feather gingerly in his suit's inner pocket, he followed the trio into the street. Such exploration was exciting to him, especially since they were going the opposite direction of whence he had arrived. As they passed a small ice cream parlor, Nash felt a wave of second hand nostalgia hit him. The small shop looked like it belonged at home in the 1960's, not this modern era. Inadvertently stopping, he began to speak softly.

"Isaac, are you alright?"

I'm fine, let's just go. Isaac replied, his voice tinged with melancholy.

"Now I know that's a lie, come on, if you can't tell me, who can you tell?" he asked in response.

A sigh went out through his mind, followed by a weary explanation. It's not you Nash, its the other three out of five psychos listening in right now. I mean, can't you hear him?

"Hear who?"

Just listen.

Sure enough, when Nash stopped focusing solely on his conversation with Isaac, he heard a restrained cackle in the background.

No no, do go on, I'm just sitting here twiddling my thumbs while you two bitches trade stories about which boys you want to fuck. No need to stop on my account.
Nolan posited, a small chuckle following his words.

Shaking his head, Nash realized that -for his parts of the conversation anyway- he'd been speaking out loud, if slightly mumbling. Attempting to seem less out of it, he began to walk just a tad faster, catching up to the girls again and hoping they hadn't heard any of that. Looking around, he spotted a small tattoo parlor and what appeared to be a strip club adorning the adjacent street. A frown suddenly developed on his face. While the tattoo parlor was of no consequence, he suspected that their main customers were the poor disenfranchised women from the club not ten feet away.
It was only mid-afternoon so Nash suspected that entering the establishment would only show him the poor drug-addicted girls who could barely make enough to sustain a living. While those who represented the late night 'entertainment' made a good deal more, they would eventually be in the same position as those currently working. Shaking his head, Nash tried to seem chipper, despite the exploitation that was occurring in plain sight.

"So Ms. Molly, Ms. Lynn, what can you two tell me about this restaurant you're leading us to?"
