Iron Hawk Empty Iron Hawk

Post by The Crusader September 21st 2012, 2:33 pm

Real Name: Larry Ralph MclEvain
Super Hero/Villain/Renegade/etc Name: Iron Hawk
Title: Outlaw, Wildman, Dog, Ruff, Wolf, Hawk, and Beastmaster(he prefers the nickname 'Ruff')
Alignment: Renegade; Leans towards Hero
Age: 21
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Hair: Dark Brown
Eyes: Green with yellow streaks
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 165

Costume Description/Image: N/A

Personality: Usually deflects a serious conversation with sarcasm, and prefers to handle most things without emotion or thought. Humor is his best remedy, and he intends to use it at every opportunity. Larry is an alcoholic, and that extends to his personality. He rarely goes a day without drinking, and is significantlly happier because of it. Usually slow to anger, but will quickly jump into a fight if something he cares about is threatened. A natural flirt, he can't stop himself from talking to woman or trying to get them into his bed. Some would call him a womanizer, but he prefers the term 'woman appreciator'. Larry has no problem with putting himself in danger, and if his purpose is strong enough, he would even be willing to sacrifice himself.

When it comes to meeting new people, Larry is usually rather reserved, unless it's an attractive woman he's interested of course. Either way, he does not show his true self and tends to lie, giving a false persona that they would find more approachable. Larry does not trust anyone, and therefore does not show himself to anyone. You could consider him blunt and harsh, but he prefers it that way. Honesty is best in his mind, even if it hurts.

Larry is stubborn and sticks to what he believes in. He doesn't like to admit it, but he's a hero at heart, a somewhat selfish one, but a hero nonetheless. However much of what he does or is capable of doing goes against that, he's had his fair share of getting his hands dirty. Larry is willing to take just about any mission if it means his next paycheck, assassinations, stealing, distractions, you name it, he'll fight for you if you've got the scratch.

Despite that, he still holds somewhat of an 'honor' or 'moral' code. For example, he refuses to kill an unarmed opponent and will always give them the opportunity to fight back before he strikes them down. However he is not against a sneak attack against an opponent he needs the advantage against..

Though he is a good man at heart, he is still willing to do 'evil' things to get by. Larry has done his fair share of muggings and robberies, but he's left murdering innocents in the past. He has no problem with killing someone who in his opinion deserves it, but he's not as bloodthirsty as he was at a younger age.

At twenty one, the young man has mastered his training in Jeet kune do and is an extremely dangerous fighter. With his superhuman abilities, his fighting has only become deadlier. It is rumored that his nails could effortlessly slash a human's throat.

Now Larry wanders the streets, drifting from town to town like his father, drinking himself away while in search of some purpose. Though he believes he'll never find one, Larry may very well be proven wrong...

History: Larry's life was a harsh one from the day of his birth. His mother had him at seventeen years old, like many have before her, she chose to keep the child and struggle to take care of it. Larry's mother was a strong young woman and believed she could take on the burden of raising a child, but she never expected twins. It doubled her struggle, but she fought on as many of us had too. Larry's father was an abusive alcoholic who drifted in and out of town, but not all of his visits were terrible. Larry and his twin brother Charles shared many fond memories of their father. Though they were brief, it still meant they had something good to hold onto. Even if it was something as simple as picking them up for lunch. Unfortunately, their father had far more darker moments to remember him by. Aside from beating them or mostly their mother when he was drunk, he did not help take care of them at all; it was purely up to their mother. Larry and Charles grew up very poor, they both felt the stinging hunger pains many of times before bed, but not as much as their dear mother. She always put them first, working herself to death just to keep their lives together. It wasn't until a young man came into her life that things changed. He fell in love with the woman and her two boys, but never was given the chance to bond with them. Being a man with formal education, making money was far easier for him than their mother. She was able to hardly work at all and be with her kids instead. Things seemed perfect, for two years they no longer lived in poverty and could have nice things. However, things changed when their father returned from his home country of Argentina. In a fit of jealousy and rage, he murdered their new 'step-father' and their mother in his own home. Despite how monstrous the act was, he didn't have the heart to kill his sons too. Their drunken father couldn't live with what he'd done, so he turned the gun on himself, leaving the two boys on this planet to live with the horrific events. The both of them witnessed pretty much everything, scarring their young fragile minds at only thirteen years old.

At that moment, it felt as if time froze, as if the gods were intervening on their predicament. Compared to the rest of the world, their problem was insignifcant, no more important than a single worker ant dying. It was the fire in the two boy's eyes, the strength in their will that the Dark Prince found interest in. They loved both their parents dearly, even grew very fond of their 'step-father', and it crushed the two young boys. However, they were still very bright and were not blind to the cruel realities of the world they lived in. Despite the horrors they had just witnessed, the two young boys main concern was their survival, and how they would get their next meal. The Dark Prince offered them a deal, the power to achieve what they seeked. They would never go hungry again, they would find wealth and conquer obstacles in their way that no normal human could overcome. They would be granted the powers of man and beast, turned into beings of unmeasurable demonic power. Desperate and lost, the boys agreed with the deal, unaware of the cost and consequences of their decision.

Charles was stripped of his body and bound to the body of a large mastiff nearly the size of a horse. Larry however was allowed to keep his human body, but the two were granted extraordinary physical powers, and the ability to heal from wounds and diseases that no other human could possibly survive through. Though it was extremely difficult to live with, Larry had to move on and make a life for himself. He first found himself as a thief among a gang of cutpurses, muggers, drug dealers and murders. They called themselves 'The Iron Hawks', a name which Larry carried on even after he left the group.

They made good money, with their abilities any mission was possible. Most the time it was just for the scratch, but sometimes the thrill of the hunt even took hold of him. Larry tried to keep a leveled head, but it wasn't that simple. He found himself drinking just like his father did, excessively and to the point that it could potentially destroy him. Larry however thought himself to be different, and convinced himself that if he only drank at night he was fine.

Nowadays Larry might as well be a hired gun, he'll take almost any job that pays well, and has lost a significant amount of sympathy. He still has a heroic side at heart, feeling guilty for everything that has happened in his life. Larry knows his brother is watching him and would be ashamed of the life he's chosen, the two set out to be thieves, but it had gone too far. Larry wants to restore his brother, but finds the task impossible. Instead he tries to find redemption in his heroics, but still sleazes by with thievery.

Powers: Spirit Bond - A power he shares with his loyal friend. As long as the two of them live, this power is active no matter the distance. Larry can always sense his companion's presence, as long as there is the faintest of life flowing through him. The two of them can essentially 'lick their wounds', allowing them to recover from injuries many would die from. It is not a fast process, but it is still far more effective than trying to recover normally. Spirit Bond also allows the two to be resistant to most natural diseases, and it also allows them to age far slower than the average human. However, Larry's lifespan will always be slightly longer than his companion's, for his powers are stronger. When Skiba dies by any means, all of Larry's superpowers will leave him. (2 EP)

Force of the Wild - Larry is able to communicate with animals, he is also capable of commanding them to fight and even die for him. Larry can also bound any human spirit to an animal, though they have complete free will, they usually feel compelled to fight along his side at least temporarily for granting them a second life. However, the spirit may not always feel that way and may act out against him instead. The spirit that he bounds must have already passed. (1 EP)

I'm giving this a second seal of approval because it's fine imho. The Spirit Bond is an interesting form of Regen, though.

Would the Spirit Bond be about 1 EP regen in comparison to 2 EP regen? Only curious.

I'd say spirit bond would use 2 EP regen, similar to Pain's.
