When Hercules killed it, by shaving it's Fleece, the Golden Fleece became the only one in the world. It has been heavily guarded since then. Some say it's the reason that despite heavy deforestation, the Amazon rainforest stays and grows strong, and is teeming with life (which some say is full of deadly creatures because the fleece makes it harder to kill them). Dr.Everyone narrowed the location and told the whole of the super community. Super humans want it so they will never age, never die, and never feel Pain again.

The Quest for The Fleece Empty Re: The Quest for The Fleece

Post by Swordsmaster May 27th 2011, 7:37 pm

The Red Knight smirks as his helicopter that he ah…”borrowed' lands in the area of the forest where the fleece is said to be near. He scoffs at the idea that a Greek mythological item actually exists. The Idea of something from a myth existing in real life sounds preposterous and uncanny to him, though if it actually is true he wouldn’t mind having immortality, yes the sickle might have been a good choice to go after an army of the undead sounds amazing to him. But immortality has a much better ring in the mind of the Red Knight. It is exactly what a knight needs, he would never come close to loosing a fight again, and all he would have to do is wear the fleece under his armor instead of chainmail. He laughs smiling as he can picture it now, a less load easier to carry around than chainmail all the great possibilities of finding that simple fleece.

He smirks as he steps off the helicopter and looks around the dense rain forest. ‘Hmm it’s a lot bigger than I imagined…this is going to be tuff but nothing I can’t handle.’ He thinks to himself as he takes out a dagger and uses it to cut through the thick branches and briars along the way, he uses the dagger because using his broadsword to do such dirty work would make no sense and it would only dull the very sharp and useful blade. Something he honestly has no plan on doing so, especially if he runs into another super and needs to use his broadsword to end the competition for good. He laughs slightly to himself as he quietly whistles the song‘Break My Stride’ by Matthew Wilder.

The Quest for The Fleece Empty Re: The Quest for The Fleece

Post by Captain Galactic May 27th 2011, 8:26 pm

((OOC:Is it okay to post, if not tell me so I can delete this one.))

Captain Galactic had been studying up on Earthly culture before. He was just learning about Greece, and more importantly, their mythology. Having read a few epic poems in an hour, reading some Percy Jackson books, and just looking it up in the library, Steven Smith became fascinated by Greek mythology. Except for someone who has traveled the cosmos and seen practically everything...he didn't think of it as a mythology. However, he still didn't believe in magic, just some other worldly science that is hard to explain. And it was Steven's job to know about the other worldly...being raised in numerous different galaxies.

When reading on the news, he heard something about the Golden Fleece being found. Well, not found, but in a general location. Steven had to look for this Golden Fleece in the name of the universe...and science. I must say, I can't believe I actually used to live here. This planet is amazing...far greater than any that I've ever seen. It's like some kind of focal point of all kinds of scientific phenomenon. Steven took the first flight he could there.

Steven missed the days when he was on a planet he could just fly all over it at around light speed. But now, Steven didn't have the equipment he used to. So Steven was stuck flying on a public plane, much slower, uncomfortable, and expensive. Steven almost missed being in C.A.N., all the cool benefits and intergalactic travel he got. But he could never go back to C.A.N.; they would practically destroy the planet looking for this thing.

Eventually, Steven got to the Amazon Rain-forest. The life forms there were fascinating but nothing too extraordinary. After all, once you seen a planet that was made completely out of vegetation, this rain-forest doesn't seem to extraordinary, Still, this ecosystem was an interesting one, and nice to see how the plants and animals interacted, He made a mental note of most of the animals he saw and decided to write a report about them later.

However, now it was getting kind of dangerous. The Rain-Forest had a somewhat ominous feeling to it. He saw glowing eyes appear around the forest. An animal even tried to attack him, but with reflexes even greater than that of the animal that attacked him, took out his sword and slashed at him, leaving a big wound, but not killing it. Captain Galactic decided to close his mask and held his sword in a battle ready fashion. His Form A Plasma gun was strapped on his back. Surely, he would find the Golden Fleece, it's not like anyone else is looking for it.

The Quest for The Fleece Empty Re: The Quest for The Fleece

Post by The Bolt May 28th 2011, 10:43 pm

John didn't even know why he was here. Something about a guy called Dr.Everyone and the Golden Fleece. Why did he care about this golden fleece thing. As if he needed a new blanket. Well it did give eternal youth and all that. So why the hell not. More time to be the wonderful drunk homosexual he was. So he decided It wouldn't hurt to try for this fleece. Well he did regret it when he got there. So many plants. Bugs were a bitch. He wished he wore more clothes.

All he wore was a simple button up shirt. With a red striped tie. Blue jeans that hung slightly loose. Hair tousled in a slightly attractive manner. Black eyes scanning the environment. So many animals prowled the rainforest. Yet it had the humidity he needed. In case anything decided he looked good enough to eat. Sneakers sloshing in the thick mud. "Goddammit." He cursed looking down. These shoes weren't cheap. So now he was screwed. Had to wear these shitty ones. As if guys liked mud crusted sneakers. Though he knew the fleece had to be around here somewhere. Just had to be. So he kept the search up. Hoping to find it before anyone else did.

Post by Swordsmaster May 28th 2011, 11:12 pm

The Red Knight sighs as he walks through the dense forest hacking away at the stupid plants with his dagger, or small sword really. After about ten minutes of hacking and cutting through the dense woods he finally gets to an open clearing and stops to rest leaning against a tree. Only to hear a noise, a crunching of sticks a noise feared by all animals in the rain forest immediately follows a noise that paralyzes even the bravest of mortal men. The roar of a tiger, the biggest cat to walk the earth today. Bigger even than a lion and more powerful than one too. The Red Knight freezes in fear knowing that he has a slim chance of beating the powerful beast even with his broadsword and shield. He lets out a small breath mentally psyching himself up. Raising his sword in a defensive position as the real king of the jungle streaks into the clearing fangs bared, obvious the Red Knight has trespassed on his territory and the tiger is here to make sure the trespasser leaves…Dead.

The Quest for The Fleece Empty Re: The Quest for The Fleece

Post by Captain Galactic May 28th 2011, 11:43 pm

Steven saw another animal of the same species come out of the forest...actually, 2 more. Steven decided to record what would happen via his Photo-Projector, so he pressed a seemingly invisible button on his suit so he could observe the behavior of these animals more closely later. But now, Steven had serious business to attend to. The first animal, cat-like in shape, attempted to pounce on him. He tried to grab the animal while it jumped on him and dropped his sword. The claws almost penetrated the C.A.N. suit, but luckily, they didn't. Steven rolled onto his back while still holding the animal, and kicked it backwards. He quickly grabbed his sword from the ground and threw it at a tree while it was rapidly spinning, knocking it down and trapping the animal. He then elbowed behind him, and managed to hit the other animal that he saw out of the corner of his eye.

Captain Galactic took out his power whip quickly and decided to whip the animal until it got scared and ran away. His space sword then flew back towards him and he caught it without even thinking. He decided that this was pretty good footage, but he decided to keep it on in case anything else weird happened. Captain Galactic took a sample of hair from the animal and decided to analyze it. The results would come back soon. Captain Galactic decided to venture through the forest again, making sure that his suit was using it's advanced senses technology.

The Quest for The Fleece Empty Re: The Quest for The Fleece

Post by The Bolt May 29th 2011, 12:12 am

He kept going on. Smell of the moist air permeating into his nostrils. This whole thing was most likely not the best idea for him. He was the type to be in a bar cutting up ,and getting wasted. Not out here in the wet Amazon Rainforest. Where he could be ripped apart by some wild animal. When a growl caught his attention. He turned to see a great tiger. It was like 12 feet tall. Staring him down. Ready to most likely eat him. Just fanfuckingtastic. As if he wanted to die this way. Now unless he did something this tiger would make a lunch out of him. So he took a stance prepared for the worse.

It lunged at him. Aiming to rip his throat out. John lunged tot he side. Dodging the initial lunge. Gathering the moisture in the air. Sending it out in sharpened shards of ice. Which had enough force to pierce the tigers hide. Blood coated the ground as the shards pierced its haunch. Hitting some vital organ. Most likely the heart It drooped before falling down dead. Letting out a death sigh. He payed his final respects. Even he had respect for the dead. Whether it be animal or human. Made him a more moral hero. So he took off. Leaving the carcass to whatever scavenger there is in the jungle. When he saw a strange man in armor fighting another large tiger. He waited where he was to see how the fight went. Only planning to jump in if he had to. Raising a brown eyebrow at the man. Hoping his guts weren't strewn across the forest floor.

The Quest for The Fleece Empty Re: The Quest for The Fleece

Post by Swordsmaster May 29th 2011, 10:36 am

Oddly though the tiger circles The Red Knight, not yet attacking as I'd it's intelligent, looking for a weak spot in the knights armor. The Chaos Kid raises an eyebrow as he watches the tiger but before he can react the great beast pounce claws and fangs flying at him though luckily he drops hiss sword and catches the beast claws having penetrated the armor but not deeply. The Red Knight smirks and throws the tiger to the ground picking his sword back up and slashing at the animal.

Whom reacts by backing up and snarling at the trespasser The tiger claws at him which easily is deflected by the shield. The red knight stabs at the tiger penetrating its hide but unluckily missing vital organs. So it only pisses the tiger off even more as blood trips from the stab wound. The tiger roars its frightening roar birds scattering, snakes slithering, animals taking off as they know that the largest animal in the forest is out for a kill. The beast lunges at the red knight whom steps to the side and slashes at the exposed stomach. The tiger lands on its legs but stumbles from the gash. It growls but is the last noise it makes as the knight silences it with a kick to the ribs then cuts off its head. Putting it on his shield as a victors spoil which he deserves for winning the fight. He kneels and cleans the tigers wounds then cuts off his hide and puts it on his shield so now it is orange and black with a tigers head sticking from the center below the three spikes. The knight stands up and smiles "....what’s next forest I've killed the king."

Post by Captain Galactic May 29th 2011, 2:38 pm

Steven switched his helmet to heat vision and and also used enhanced hearing. On the jungle floor, he heard and saw a lot of things...possibly dangerous ones. Steven had no doubt he could take them all, but just didn't want to get to the point where he had to kill. Steven realized that killing was very bad after his experiences in C.A.N. and decided to try to avoid that. He used his Power Whip as a grappling hook and went high in the trees. He then switched his helmet to super vision mode, which allowed him to see very far. He held out his Plasma gun, ready to shoot, and slowly walked along the branches, looking below for anything suspicious. At this rate, I'll find the fleece in no time! Steven thought.

The Quest for The Fleece Empty Re: The Quest for The Fleece

Post by The Bolt May 29th 2011, 3:58 pm

The battle ended pretty good. Night killing the tiger. Which honestly wasn't a surprise .Seemed like the guy could handle himself. Though John learned to not judge people by their appearances. Still he surmised he wouldn't want to be noticed by this guy. For all he knew the could be a villan. If that's what people called them these days. Whatever it meant. He didn't want to find out. Slowly he backed away. Trying not to make a sound. Which worked for the most part. Now he had to search for the fleece without being found by any hero or villan. Both would probably try to attack him. Didn't need a pointless fight today. Well its his fault for even going out here.

Out of the corner of his eye he noticed a form going into the trees .It caught his interest for a moment. Was it some sort of super monkey? He sure never liked monkeys. Hopefully it wasn't a damn monkey. Then he noticed barely a man in the trees. Well that was a relief. It was just a guy. Weird style for sure, but still a man. Now he had identified two possible enemies. A space looking man and the knight. Was this a freak convention? Whether it was ,or not didn't matter now. John jumped into the thick overgrowth. Hoping to hide him. Let the super guys find the fleece. Take it before they did. Though he wondered if it was plush. Hopefully it was.

Post by Swordsmaster May 29th 2011, 6:20 pm

The Red Knight smirks as he takes off deeper into the forest, honestly not caring if he runs into another competitor or something like that. Knowing that if he does he'll kill them all, or well maybe injure them greatly letting them hobble away . He laughs at the though, sure he doesn't actually enjoy killing but he will do so if it comes down to it. He sighs running into another dense planted part of the rain forest, he takes out his dagger and slashes down the plants and stuff as he keeps walking stepping on a monkey's tail he cringes as it screams and throws a banana at the one part of his helmet that is open the banana hitting his face he wipes it off cursing as it slows him down making the search longer than he wanted. He sighs and keeps walking looking for the damn fleece or any competitors he might 'accidentally' walk into and have to 'injure'.

Post by Captain Galactic May 29th 2011, 7:11 pm

Steven continued to walk around on the branches, scoping things out. He should've seen the fleece already, but it must have been very well hidden. He continued scoping and moving again until he saw a figure moving through the jungle. He couldn't make it out completely, but he was watching for him, constantly adjusting the power of his super vision mask to try to get a closer look. However, while he was doing that, a monkey ruined his balance on the branch. he then proceeded to crash to the floor.

Luckily, Steven's suit was pretty good at protecting him. He got up with barely a problem and hoped all the systems were in check. Everything was OK in his suit. In matter of fact, his results for the hair sample he took earlier came back. It said that the animal that attacked him was a panther, and showed a list of traits, behavior, and even a model of what it's DNA looked like. Steven used his helmet to connect to the internet and found out extra info about panthers. He checked the genetic contents of a regular panther, and compared it to that of the one he analyzed before. The one he analyzed before was slightly different than the regular one, better than the regular ones. "Well, this just got more interesting." Steven said to himself.

Seemed like he went undetected. Which all in all was good. Didn't need to get in a fight yet. Slowly John crept through the brush. Trying not to make a single sound. It worked for the most. So he kept going hoping to find the fleece first. Maybe then take care of anyone who tried to kill him. Then off to drink til he couldn't anymore. What a wonderful thing that would be. It all seemed to be going well he was unseen. No giant snakes trying to kill him. No giant pandas confusing him for bamboo. So all in all it was amazing. Then he felt like he bumped into something. He looked up to see that he bumped into the Knight. Well his face ran into the mans leg armor. John skittered back on all fours. Hoping the man thought he was only a huge bug. A huge weird looking bug for sure. Though as long as he wasn't attacked it was all fine.

]The Red Knight blinks as he feels something bump into his leg he raises an eyebrow and turns around. He smirks seeing a man scurry away he laughs and unsheathes his broad sword. "Hmm are you a competitor?" he asks smirking at the man. "...trying to hit me from behind ehhh?" he says laughing. "The oldest trick in the book is not gona work on me shrimp." He swings his sword in his hand and points it at the mans head walking towards him slowly "I’m so very sorry, but I’m going to have to kill you or seriously injure you now, I can't have you taking that fleece from me." He smirks "Even though I don't believe it to be real, would be a real swell prize, much better than the tigers hide" he says taking his shield off his back and sliding his hands through the straps gripping it.

"You don't seem to be that strong, so I'll make you a deal, you leave now and I won't hurt you at all kid" He says smirking. "Though if you don't I am very sorry to say then I must eliminate you from this competition, as you see I don't plan on leaving this forest without that fleece, never being able to die and what not." He smirks pointing his sword at the unknown mans head "that fleece would be the best armor in the world." The Red Knight laughs slightly "no hard feelings though, you understand, right?" He smirks as his sword slowly goes down to rest on the still unknown mans Adams apple. "You can yield now and leave this forest; I'll gladly let you leave here alive." he says adding "Though if you do not, I must get rid of you."

The Quest for The Fleece Empty Re: The Quest for The Fleece

Post by Captain Galactic May 30th 2011, 11:54 am

After Steven finished his data analysis on the panther he took down earlier, he decided to go back into the trees. He remembered that he was tracking something down before, although he wasn't sure what. His helmet was back on super vision and he held his gun out, ready to shoot at the sight of anything going wrong. After about 30 seconds of searching, he saw something that looked like a knight, and another person who was in a really bad situation now.

I wonder if that's who I don't want it to be Steven thought. He tried improving the clarity and saw exactly who it was. Well, it seems like that knight is here...but why is he getting so violent. I gotta stop him somehow. He threw his sword the way he always did, having it outmaneuver the trees in the forest and cutting down vines, until it cut the tree behind the knight, which was starting to fall...even though he was sure he could stop or dodge it. He then decided to use hip power whip to move the other guy to the side a little, getting him out of harms way. Steven then watched from there what would happen next.
