A meeting of villians in a McDonalds (Gravity Man) Empty A meeting of villians in a McDonalds (Gravity Man)

Post by Red June 30th 2015, 3:45 am

Lucius was in Pittsburgh, a city he had never been too. He never really thought he would find himself here, honestly he didn't think it was very important. It was a minor town compared to places like New York and Chicago, but he supposed some could thrive better in such places. The smaller the city, the easier it was to control. Though,  Pittsburgh wasn't a small city, just smaller then what he was used too. Lucius was given an invitation of sorts, sent out by the local meta human gang leader. The name was known, so Lucius considered it more then if it were just some random criminal reaching out to him. Apparently this meta human by the name Gravity Man wanted to discuss something along the lines of an alliance.

It was always welcome really, as long as Lucius actually gained something from it. And of course, he couldn't just trust anyone. He had learned many times that allies could be incredibly unreliable. Though, the track record of this meta human and his gang told Lucius he could indeed find a partnership in them. Gravity Man had been called a meta human supremacist, which Lucius himself was also called on several occasions. Lucius had learned from Alpha that the allies that share your ideals are always the most loyal ones. So he would take the invitation, go to the given address, and meet this person. Lucius appeared outside the building with Daniel, that trusty teleporter. The two were rather shocked to find out the nature of the meeting place, it was a McDonalds.

"Um....are you sure these guys are legit?" Daniel said before laughing at the sight of the building.

"This can't be the right address...." Lucius said before looking to the large sign, finding that yes, this was the place.

"You wanna leave?" Daniel asked.

"No, both parties went through the trouble of setting this up. I might as well give them a few minutes." Lucius said. He was in full gear, so looked.....incredibly out of place, to say the least. Already he was getting stares, i mean, he looks like a damn sith lord.

"Well, i might as well grab a burger while i'm at it." Daniel said, still half laughing. Lucius shot him a look, which still somehow showed disapproval despite the fact Lucius was wearing a mask. They would awkwardly walk in, just standing there in the middle of a fast food joint. Some slithered out of the building at the very sight of someone with a mask, while others.....well they just really wanted their Big Macs. After everyone got over the fact a supervillain in full costume was standing in front of them, Daniel and Lucius found a table and sat.

"Dude, lets get the hell out of here." Daniel said clearly uncomfortable.

"Don't call me dude." Lucius said simply in return. Lucius sighed in irritation at the whole situation, not only did they pick a fast food joint to discuss a metahuman gang alliance, but they were late.

A meeting of villians in a McDonalds (Gravity Man) Empty Re: A meeting of villians in a McDonalds (Gravity Man)

Post by Proarden (Gravity Man) July 1st 2015, 4:45 am

So here they were again, in the same situation they all hated to be in. They were late, though a silence feel amongst them as they all looked to one and other. Amongst them was the silent understanding that they don't utter a single word about their being late. True enough, they were only one minute late at the moment...but one minute was worth a bullet in the kneecap of the one who made them late. In this case it was Xerox. Xerox was sweating bullets while Inferno drove as quickly as possible to the meeting location, a place that was entrusted to him to select. Having forgot about it until the last minute; they decided to meet at McDonalds. They also agreed to not tell him where they were going and letting him believe they had been some place else altogether.

Ink at with a scowl on her face as she noticed the stupidity of her comrades and even the stupidity of the newest "general", a young man by the name of "Overdose".  He was nothing more than a druggie meta whose body broke down the chemicals in heroine and was able to repurpose it into super speed. She waited until the perfectly polished, sleek black Cadillac pulled up, the door opened and Gravity Man stepped out onto the sidewalk and cracked his neck. Ink stepped out beside him and kept her arms folded while Xerox sent a copy forward and opened the door while hiding the trust form of him in the passenger seat. Inferno would go and park the car, awaiting for their return as Gravitas, Ink, a clone and Overdose went into the fast food establishment.

"What is this? Where are we? Why does it smell like a heart-attack waiting to happen?" He asked with an unamused snarl as he walked through the door, his shoulders back and a proud posture in his walk. His hood still draped over his face he made his way towards Red after Xerox spoke of them. People were clearing out, having seen multiple cloaked figures in the same building, though some of the more "plentiful" kinds of humanity would have been better off rolling out the doors than trying to run.

"So...yeah everything's fine. We've got the other party here, two guys. You got this dude." Xerox said, seeing to coach and reassure Gravity Man, whom stopped dead and slowly turned his head to look at the Xerox clone slowly. The clone reacted the same way the actual person would, as it was controlled by the original and it cringed back. "Y-yea right. Don't call you dude. Slipped." he said before gulping a little, a nervous lump in his throat as Ink stepped up to his right side and they continued forward to meet the other villains.

"You must be Lucius and company, I presume?" Gravitas asked before sticking his hand out as it was of common respect and the base of social interaction. "I am Gravity Man, and this is my associate she is-Perfectly capable of introducing herself, sir. My name is Samantha. You may call me Ink.it is a pleasure to meet the two of you." She said, though she herself offered no hand, simply choosing to sit in the booth. She didn't shake hands for obvious reasons, as she was not the kind of person you could trust shaking hands with. Gravity Man suddenly heard a woman call out an order and Gravity Man froze halfway as he was on route to sitting down. He looked to Ink and then stood up.

"I knew the smell was unmistakable...Ink, are we in a McDonalds?" he asked, almost as if he couldn't believe it. Ink gave a simple "mhm" in response with a smirk before Gravitas simply sighed and raised both his hand to chest level and then flattened them before hand, overcompensating for the lack of being able to see his facial expression with boy movement and movement of his hands. "I am, so, so sorry about all of this. You'd think that we'd have trusted a more reliable individual to pick our place of meeting. So unprofessional of us." He sighed, though Ink seemed more amused by it than anything.

A meeting of villians in a McDonalds (Gravity Man) Empty Re: A meeting of villians in a McDonalds (Gravity Man)

Post by Red July 1st 2015, 6:05 am

So Gravity Man and his gang showed up, getting out of a sleek black Cadillac. They stuck out like sore thumbs, just like Lucius and Daniel. It was pretty awkward, but on the plus side the arrival of the gang made the rest of the people in the restaurant slink out. The members oddly reminded Lucius of his own gang of lieutenants, whether that was because most of them were younger then their leader or not he didn't really know. Lucius truly wondered what possessed the group to meet in such a setting, this was a place mothers that couldn't cook took their kids, not a place where metahuman supremacists met. Regardless, this is where it was, there was no use in going on about it. Daniel had an amused smile plastered across his face, which just annoyed Lucius more then anything else.

Gravity Man would then approach the table Lucius and Daniel were sitting at, no wonder how he knew it was them. Gravity Man had a rather odd outfir on, it looked like a Halloween costume in all honesty, but Lucius could tell just from the mans posture it was likely a ploy. From what he heard, Gravity Man wasn't to be taken lightly, so the costume told Lucius the man was clever, rather then, ya know, just a dork. The leader of the gang then introduced himself, and so did his lieutenant, though only the former stuck out a hand to shake, which Lucius accepted before pulling away.

"I'm Lucius, and this is my associate Daniel. I was expecting you to be here before i showed up, at the time specified." Lucius said, throwing it out there that he was made to sit their awkwardly for five long eternal minutes out of frustration more then anything. It seemed that Gravity Man had no idea where they were, which brought the fact he was blind to Lucius' attention. It was a relief really, now Lucius knew he wasn't meeting with an insane person. It seemed to be the males minions doing, and if anything Lucius could relate to that, underlings seemed to screw up more often then not. Gravity Man then apologized, probably embarrassed beyond comprehension.

"It's alright, puzzling, but alright. We could go somewhere a little more private, but, we were alreadThe damage is already done...." Lucius started before being interrupted, rather rudely, by Daniel. He was shot one of those mask glares Lucius was so good at giving, but that was the end of it. Whether Gravity Man would want to leave or not, well, that was a sure thing, but perhaps they would stick around just a tad longer.

A meeting of villians in a McDonalds (Gravity Man) Empty Re: A meeting of villians in a McDonalds (Gravity Man)

Post by Proarden (Gravity Man) July 2nd 2015, 10:41 pm

I was expecting you to be here before i showed up, at the time specified."

Those words sliced through the air like a knife to butter. No, a HOT knife. No, like someone put fire into fire and made a nuclear fire that raged like the stupidity of everyone for the sheer purpose of heating this knife and then slicing through room temperature butter. In fact he was certain that he could hear the words echoing slightly. -at the time specified... -at the time specified... -at the time specified... This was received with his eyes going wide and his head tilting to the side slightly. Ink let out a little sigh before closing here eyes with a rather pained look, as if she were so close to getting away with pulling the wool over his eyes. He felt his mouth curl into a smile for a second, taken entirely by surprise as it shocked him to his core.

"So...I'm late as well?" He asked with a little chuckle before there was the loud audible sound of metal from the McDonalds sign out front literally bending out of shape, sparks begining to pour from the lighted sign as it flickered. "Well now that is interesting. Well knowing how very...particular I am with the time...Ink." Gravity man said his chuckles border lining the sound of nervous, or perhaps even manic. He took in a deep breath and seemed to soothe himself.

"It was Overdose, sir. He's the newest General-"The moment she said Overdose his head bobbed up and down as he turned to her, almost as if asking "are you F**king kidding me?" her expression somewhat surprised as he interrupted her at "General" with his own remark. "So...a speed based metahuman is the reason we're late... Do you not see what is wrong with that statement!?" he snapped before letting out a sigh and shaking his head. He calmed himself and lifted his head back to Red.

"You're absolutely correct though. The damage has been done. I suppose all I can try and do now is...treat the wound.  Please, allow me to amend this mishap. We can take this meeting to a more appropriate location." Gravity Man said, though Ink sat there, looking at her phone. "And here I thought it was going to be such a Happy Meal." She said before standing up and putting the phone in her pocket.

"You're all Hell-bent on making me look bad, aren't you?" He asked with a little irritation in his tone. He was so used to his general's antics, in fact he had come to look at them more as generals than minions, and thusly they had more freedoms to act as they wanted, so long as they continued to yield results. "Not at all sir, I have just cleared the entire Lautrec at Nemacolin." She said, knowing that this would immediately ease her boss in a way. Of course she had to pull a few strings, but she had secured the most prestigious place to dine in all of Pittsburgh. Gravity man nodded with a silent thank you that she recognized and accepted.

"Nicely done. Lucius, Daniel. Would you like to join us for the ride?" Gravitas would offer, unknowing of Daniels' teleporting capability, though he figured that this gave them a chance to get some preliminaries out of the way, such as why contact was established in the first place.

A meeting of villians in a McDonalds (Gravity Man) Empty Re: A meeting of villians in a McDonalds (Gravity Man)

Post by Red July 3rd 2015, 4:44 am

Well, it seemed this Gravity Man person was rather particular about the time. He seemed almost crazed by the fact he was late, acting in a way most would consider scary. Of course, Lucius didn't, he had seen a lot worse then this. It seemed a speedster was the one responsible, which was kind of comical, even more so since Gravity Man pointed it out. The man seemed angry, yet calm. Lucius knew that a demeanor, he couldn't help but think this Overdose person was going to get some manner of punishment. Whether Lucius would witness it or not though, he didn't know. It wasn't like he wanted to however, Lucius wasn't that sadistic.

Despite Daniels slight bit of rudeness, he was told he was correct. He was really, but Lucius was far to formal of a person to say that to a potential ally. Daniel was always useful to have around, he could ask the questions that Lucius wanted to ask without making the man look bad. After all, he wasn't Lucius' second in command just because he could teleport. It seemed they would leave this dreadful establishment, which was music to Lucius' ears. Daniel couldn't help but giggle at this ink persons pun, it was stupid yeah, but quite funny. Lucius just rolled his eyes under his mask, then bumped the teleporter to let him out of the booth. Daniel did so, allowing both of them to stand.

"I could get their quicker, but i think we could use the drive to have a discussion on the way." Lucius said. From there the two would follow Gravity Man to his vehicle and get in. The smell of McDonalds always gave Lucius an instant headache, so he was quite pleased to be leaving.

A meeting of villians in a McDonalds (Gravity Man) Empty Re: A meeting of villians in a McDonalds (Gravity Man)

Post by Proarden (Gravity Man) July 6th 2015, 1:03 am

The first thing that happened was that the nice and pristine black Cadillac pulled up and the doors opened, Gravity Man sat himself in the car and then seemed to move back a surprising distance before setteling in his seat. The car itself looked quite mundane and small, however when one stepped foot into the car they quickly found themselves in what was like that of an upscale limousine. Inside was the real Xerox at the first available seat his clone vanishing from behind them as Ink awaited Lucius and Daniel to get themselves in and situated. Gravity Man cleared his throat a moment before Ink entered and took her seat, leaving Xerox in the seat by the door.

"Deception is a powerful tactic. An old car with a subspace addition. Keeps you both safe and comfortable." He said with a sigh. The car could be heard shifting gears as it began to slowly move. "So I've been keeping an eye on your progress. On your actions and the actions of the beings thereby congregated. I have to say I'm impressed." Gravity Man said, the irony of the statement was not lost on him as he selected that phrase for a very specific reason. "I also happen to know that you are a rather..."active" in the evolution and ascencion of metahumn kind, is that right?" He would ask as Ink handed him a glass of ice with some form of drink contained within. Ink would then look to Lucius and Daniel.

"Is there anything I can get you to drink on the ride?" She asked. The ride of course wouldn't be overly long, though perhaps it was out of proper etiquette more than anything else. Ink was a rather notorious mixologist herself, so she felt confidant in whatever they could throw at her.

A meeting of villians in a McDonalds (Gravity Man) Empty Re: A meeting of villians in a McDonalds (Gravity Man)

Post by Red July 10th 2015, 7:17 pm

Lucius and Daniel would follow Gravity Man and his posse out of the McDonalds and to the sleek black Cadillac outside. Lucius was known for his love of cars, especelly classics, though he was more of a muscle kind of guy, but to each their own. He waited for Gravitas to get in before they did the same, surprised about what they found on the inside. It looked bigger, that or Lucius' eyes were failing him. It was so nice in the car that it would have been a better meeting place then where they were previously....

Something was said about deception, which Lucius could agree with. Most of the time if you knew something your opponent didn't, you had a major advantage. Gravity Man then said he had been 'keeping an eye on' Lucius. It wasn't really a surprise, Lucius knew this man had likely been keeping track of his actions, otherwise he wouldn't have been invited to this meeting. Then there was the question, one having to do with his stance on metahumans and their general superiority.

"Yes, i believe us to be the future. But i don't just talk about it, like you said, I'm rather....active. That's what my little following is all about, liberating our kind from underneath humanity, and taking our rightful place." Lucius said before being asked by Ink if he wanted a drink. It was a general rule that Lucius lived by to never deny a drink, at least while things remained civil.

"Bourbon on the rocks, if its of sufficient quality." Lucius said, then taking the drink once Ink was finished making it.

"I'll have a beer if you have it." Daniel said. He was a man of...simple tastes. Lucius just looked at him, unspokenly asking really? Once Daniel got his beer he would shamelessly open it then take a drink, and Lucius just sighed.

"So what about you? Is evolution your motive? Or do you do what you do for more....personal reasons?" Lucius said, just making conversation really but he was curious to know.

A meeting of villians in a McDonalds (Gravity Man) Empty Re: A meeting of villians in a McDonalds (Gravity Man)

Post by Proarden (Gravity Man) July 11th 2015, 10:07 pm

Ink was actually glad to see the diversity between the leader and the underling, it was very similar to what one might have expected to find here in this group. Especially when one considered the fact that Xerox was just going to drink a Blue Moon with orange and lime while Gravitas sat with his own drink, slowly sipping and taking time as he listened to Lucius and Ink dispensed their drinks. Her previous talents paid off, handing Red his bourbon quickly and then offering a variety of beer choices to Daniel. Once Daniel had his choice, Xerox received his Blue Moon with orange and lime. It was about this time that Red was asking his own questions of Gravitas.

"Evolution is not my goal. But my goal does produce that result, by it's very nature." Gravity man said with another sip and a little grunt to clear his throat. "To answer you more openly I'd have to say that this gang exists for a number of reasons, my goal is not one thing but multiple things intricately interwoven like that of a thread and a needle. Done that way for the sole purpose that all I need to do is make one powerful pull...and everything pulls together. Exactly as it should be. My revenge is fulfilled and I leave the world a better place. I need something after that goal however... I pondered it for a long time." He said before excusing himself for another sip of his drink and swallowing. Xerox seemed to have no control as he just continued to down his beer.

"I know you did not ask an explanation, but I wish to be an open book. I don't believe in lying to allies, as any of my associates can tell you...so I wish to be as forthright as possible. As I've matured a little I've found that I looked at revenge all wrong. I was doing it selfishly. How could they do it to ME? How dare they oppose ME...then I came to the stunning realization. I was a total brat. Everything was about me. When the rain appeared I wondered why it had to rain on me today...and then I realized that my revenge was only about punishing someone for what they did to me." He stopped to take a breath and let out a sigh. "I realized that this world...this life isn't about me, or you. It's about us as a race. Never once did I worry about nay of the other metahumans like me, who they tortured and experimented upon. Never once did I think of them when I started this "gang". But when I realized this I knew that the...the image I had for my life...dying as I eradicated every last trace of my tormenters....that was no longer an option. My new mission is to make sure that no more of us suffers the way I know some of us have, but that alone did not give me the resolve to live... I needed a goal to follow after my goal. Something to keep me going. Thus I examined thoroughly each and every prospect and...I arrived at you." Gravitas said as the car came to a stop.

"Alright, we'll send a small group to scope it out. Wait just a tick and we'll-." Xerox began, his accent hanging out there when he was cut off by Gravity man.

"I'll scope it out myself...no need to send four people to do what I can do alone." Gravity Man said with a sigh as he slid down the seats, moving past Ink. "If you'll excuse me just a moment." He said before stepping out of the car and taking six or seven steps out. Taking his knee to the ground he placed a hand, his hood lowered as he seemed to focus a moment. Ink cleared her throat to garner everyone's attention form Gravity Man. She looked to Lucius and spoke to him.

"Sir, a suggestion if I may. Everything you do is something he can use against you...from simply hearing what you requested to drink to the game of chess he will undoubtly try to tempt you with. Please keep that in fair warning...you'd be surprised how much he can tell about people from the most simplistic things." Ink said, she always felt the need to let people know they had attention paid to them. She then looked to Xerox and Daniel. "I've already lost hope for you two. You're cards of the same suit."

 "Hey!"
"Oh hush it, Queen of Clubs." Ink said with a little smirk at her own slur back at the British general. It was only a few seconds more before Gravity Man stood and turned his head back.

"Ink, we have company in the western hall. Deal with them so that we may enjoy our meal please." Gravity Man called out. She immediately jumped at the chance, leaving the vehicle with impressive speed for a human, sprinting off towards the large resort area they had parked in front of. "I'm sorry to have talked your ear off. Again, I just felt obligated to tell you the boring history of why this ever even happened...But, if you're still interested I hope this fine establishment suits your tastes a bit better. If not well it'll be good company all the same, eh?" He asked with a slight chuckle as they were escorted by Inferno and Overdose to the dining hall.

A meeting of villians in a McDonalds (Gravity Man) Empty Re: A meeting of villians in a McDonalds (Gravity Man)

Gravity Man's answer was both long winded and incredibly interesting. Lucius could relate to everything he said, their goals were nearly identical. That wasn't to say their motives were though, they both had their own reasons for doing what they did, but they both arrived at the same conclusion. Lucius just liked to see people with a similar outlook, it made him feel less alone in this endeavor. He was glad this man was more open about what he wanted then most others, and Lucius could tell from the way he spoke about it his heart was in this cause.

This man had endured, just as Lucius had. The world dealt him a bad hand, and he was flipping the table. He was doing what all great men should, he was taking control and killing thirty brids with a single stone. That's what Lucius liked to see in a person, intellect, reason, realism. It wasn't about them though, it was bigger then that. No longer was this about Lucius and his loses, his experiences. This was a conflict that would decide the fate of the metahuman race and the world, It was a battle for evolution. Finally, after all this time, Lucius found someone like himself. A broken man guided only by his own force of will, a necessary monster that knew what needed to be done to make this rock better. Lucius smiled at the mans words, truly. He was glad someone had came to the same end as he.

"You've arrived at the right place my friend. You have no idea how long I've waited to hear that from someone other then myself. I was beginning to think i was the only one that fully understood what my mission was all about. I know you're pain, i know how it feels to be shunned for what i am. Perhaps we can put all of the suffering to an end. Perhaps.....we can build a better world." Lucius said just as the car stopped in front of the rather fancy resort. Oddly, Gravity Man decided to scope out the place himself. Lucius supposed that was a good way to lead at times, especelly when some of your minions are prone to setting up meetings in fast food joints. After the leader left, Ink spoke up to Lucius, telling him something that made him smile.

"You'd me surprised how much information can be gathered from minions with loose lips." Lucius said, not rudely really, just in a way that was almost warning Ink. Daniel instantly looked at Xerox, or at least one of them, when Ink made her comment about them being from the same 'suit'. An interesting prospect, now that he noticed it, they did have similarities. He also noticed.....this dude was a professional soccer player.

"Wait......aren't you....i thought you looked familiar. You played professionally for England a little while ago, didn't you?" Daniel asked. It was interesting to think of everyone's lives outside their respective gangs, it seemed you could be anyone and still want a metahuman revolution. Gravity Man then returned, sending Ink in to get them some privacy before they entered the restaurant.

"Indeed, but i can tell you, I'm still very interested." Lucius said as he and Daniel got out of the car. The pair would follow Gravity Man wherever needed to get to their table then sit down.

A meeting of villians in a McDonalds (Gravity Man) Empty Re: A meeting of villians in a McDonalds (Gravity Man)

Post by Proarden (Gravity Man) July 14th 2015, 6:56 pm

"Eh-hehe. Y-yeah. That's me." Xerox said, shocked that someone actually picked him out like that. HE actually was quite embarrassed because of how adamant he was about not wearing a mask when he joined up with Gravitas. Now he looked like a fool...well a bigger fool. Hey, as far as he knew Americans hated Soccer, how was he to know this would happen!? Not to say he didn't enjoy the fact someone else out there apparently enjoyed soccer enough to know a player when they saw one. "Slight change of interest...apparently my being a metahuman was an issue for some people. I had enough problems without being a meta." He chuckled, not that he regretted being a metahuman, he was simply joking about the difficulties of social acceptance beyond being a freak of nature that made other versions of yourself that were similar to said freaks of nature. "I'm Gray. Gray Jackman." He said, realizing he should probably offer an introduction before the rest of the day unfolded.

Well apparently Lucius was still interested, and he seemed quite adamant that he was glad to see or meet a like-minded individual. Gravitas could say the same for himself, however he couldn't deny that when two like-minded people came about to a similar goal...strife was imminent. He of course wouldn't state that right off the bat. It was perhaps best that they both simply celebrated the fact they were not alone, and that there was at least another that understood the gravitas of the situation. No pun intended (Not IC at least).  The dining arrangements were the usual for Lautrec, as it was the finest establishment that Gravity man knew of in all of Pittsburgh. Well it was the finest establishment with the most tasteful food in his opinion. They hadn't sat for more than a moment before a waitress was already there to try and get any drinks they would like.

"That voice...Cathrine?" He asked a moment, the waitress confirmed. He had been trying to become less dependent upon his gravity sensory, a reliance upon it would only force him to be all the more crippled in a situation where it wouldn't work. Gravity Man knew the waitress once she confirmed, the voice was slightly distinct because of the southern accent she had. "I'll have my usual, yeah, let's go with that." He said with a smile before allowing Red to order his own drink and look over his menu if he so chose. This was actually around the time that Gravitas normally grilled people with questions, but he had to confess that this time he would be forced to allow the other party their chance. The one he normally "grilled" were those coming to him begging for a partnership of some kind... this proposition was his own idea, however. For the first time it was Gravity man making the proposition...it would be rude and unfair if he began the questioning period, especially with a guest that actually seemed to impress him thus far.

"Excuse the minor interruptions. I'm sure Ink is simply taking care of our uninvited guests." Gravitas assured once the sound of guns fired off everywhere, men screaming and even a loud explosion off in the distance as the table itself shook a little. Though it didn't take long after three minute the chorus of voices and fired off bullets was down to one single shot that fired out...and then silence and stillness took the area. Apparently she was toying with her food again, he would need to remind her that there was a time for playing and a time for working. Regardless, things seemed to be perfectly fine now. "So, Is there anything else at all you'd like to ask me? I promise I will try and be less long-winded than before." He said as Cathrine returned with their drinks, Gravitas' being a cool bluish color with a lime garnish on the side with. If there were ever a time to ask Gravitas virtually anything...it was right now.

"Daniel Raine's, nice to meet you." Daniel said reaching out to shake Gray's hand with a smile. After that they left and went inside, sitting down and such. The dining area was quite nice, and definitely up to Lucius' standards. Those were quite hard to meet to be honest, all his life Lucius had been exposed to pleasantries but this seemed to be adequate. Lucius had already removed his mask in the car when he had his drink, but he had made it a point never to leave his gear behind, so he just sat it on a nearby table along with a few other cumbersome items. He sat down and a waitress appeared, taking their orders. It seemed Gravity Man had been here many times, because he asked for his 'usual'. Lucius didn't know the menu, but a quick flip through it allowed him to decide what he wanted. Lucius wasn't a choosy man, this was business, so he couldn't waste time asking about all the food for thirty minutes.

"I'll have the wellington and your best scotch." Lucius said, changing up his choice of drink, he didn't want to seem dull now did he? Once the woman left they were free to talk, and Lucius assumed this is when the actual questions would be asked. Lucius was curious about Gravity Man's group, they seemed like an interesting bunch of people. Believe it or not, Lucius liked when his followers expressed themselves. He didn't want drones, those would be useless to his cause, he needed actual people, free and creative people. Gun shots then rang through Lucius' ears, and he just smirked. It seemed that Ink girl was having some fun. Lucius patently waited for the gunshots to cease as to not be interrupted by them, and then spoke, but not before considering his words carefully. Lucius saw a very particular man in front of him, one that had to be treated with care. He was intelligent, calculated, and even though he was blind, the guy could read people very well.

"Where do you see yourself in five years?" Lucius said, a smirk forming across his face. It could have been taken as a joke, and Daniel even laughed at it a bit, but Lucius was serious. There was a reason job interviewers always asked that question, you could learn a lot about a man from his answer. This was just about the point where the drinks arrived, Lucius getting his scotch and taking a drink, and Daniel......getting another beer.

Post by Proarden (Gravity Man) July 15th 2015, 5:43 pm

So there was an odd question sent out there. Xerox tried his best to stifle a chuckle upon hearing it. Gravity man's head rolled to the side a little, as if he were going to look back at him, the motion alone was enough to tell Gray to keep his thoughts to himself. It was rude to laugh at another's expense. Gravity Man himself wasn't quite sure that his potential ally would like his answer, but ultimately he said he would answer truthfully. So he would answer truthfully, regardless of whom liked the response or not. He chuckled and took a sip from his glass and set the drink down.

"Well...you may not like this answer but... if I have my way. In five year's I'll have been dead for at least two." Gravity Man said with a little bit of a chuckle. "I don't have a death wish in all honesty...I just don't exactly care if I die. I know me, I know what I'll do. I'll get this revolution off the ground, get my revenge and then I'll end up putting myself in a situation where I'll be dead trying to save some of us from a hopeless event." He said, being as truthful as he could be. Xerox immediately rolled his eyes and actually had the motivation to risk wrath and interject.

"And if we have out way we won't let that happen." He said, Gravity Man just chuckle and shook his head with a little sigh, surprisingly not getting angry. The only thing he really said was "Thank you, peanut gallery, but the question wasn't for you." He reminded Gray who let out a little sigh before accepting his role was to shut up and remained there. It wasn't long before the waitress returned, asking to be excused as she had a message for them.

"Excuse me sir. A woman by the name of Ink left a message for you." She said as she handed him a letter. The letter was written in blood but it was with a nice tip, so she obviously used something to dip in blood and write. The letter itself said something like "I want a raise or your next". He only used his gravity sense for a moment before he realized there was a P.S on it that said "I told you I could get you to use your sense. You owe me $25." He had completely forgotten about that wager and he handed the letter back to the girl.

"Sending a letter to a blind man. I'll assume she's still alive. That sounds like her cruel humor." He said before handing the card back. The waitress gave an awkward chuckle before asking if she could take their orders or if they needed more time. Lucius' order arrived as scheduled however. Xerox made his request at the dide quietly. Just as last time, Gravitas allowed Lucius to take control of the situation. He was the guest after all, and he likely still had questions. Once those ended, Gravitas would be in a better position to ask his questions.

Interesting. That answer was one that surprised Lucius, yet it was the one he wanted to hear. You see, Lucius himself would have answered similarly. If Gravity Man had answered in any other way, well, then Lucius would have known the man wasn't fully devoted to this cause. But he did, and it seemed that just like Lucius, he was ready to give his life up for something bigger. It had to be that way sadly, in the end, Lucius knew he would likely die, but he had set out knowing that, and he accepted it.

"That's a good answer, one i haven't gotten from anyone I've ever asked that question..." Lucius said just as the waitress returned. Lucius had already ordered, so his beef wellington had arrived. It looked quite delicious really, though the fact Lucius hadn't really eaten in a few days could have contributed to that. He started to eat, rolling up his sleeves and scooting in before he cut away at his meal. It seemed Lucius' sophistication when it came to eating was still with him. Lucius watched halfheartedly as a note was brought to the table, which was said to be written in blood. That could have meant two things, though it didn't seem to arise any kind of concern in the gang leader so Lucius just continued on like nothing happened. It seemed Gravity Man was still open to some questions, so Lucius would take it upon himself to ask another.

"You know, there's quite a lot of metahuman supremacists in this world, and even more muscle to be hired. My question is, why me? I'm not a particularly easy person to get into contact with, so why go through the trouble to bring me here? I suppose in basic terms I'm asking, what can i do for you and this cause that you can't get from anyone else?" Lucius asked, making sure he didn't speak with his mouth full or anything, that was just bad manners. It was a simple question really, and he was curious about what the man said about considering every other prospect. What made him stop at Lucius?

A meeting of villians in a McDonalds (Gravity Man) Empty Re: A meeting of villians in a McDonalds (Gravity Man)

Post by Proarden (Gravity Man) July 19th 2015, 3:10 am

Well what was he supposed to say? How he decided and came upon Lucius? Would he believe him when he told him, or would he laugh at him and think him a fool? It wasn't that he particularly cared for Red or Daniel's opinion of him. The question here came down to how honest was he going to be? He was very hesitant to reveal the information to Lucius, however he had to keep himself honest. He was dedicated thus far, and so there was no turning back. He took a sip from his drink as the waitress brought his own food out.

"You're name wasn't even on the roster. You were a rival and from all of my research you were far too cruel, far too untrustworthy for an alliance. But then I recently discovered a mole in my group that had been misleading us through our information on you. They worked for an enemy gang known as "The Ultra Squad" or something like that. We dealt with them before they could garner anything on our upper echelon...and I happened to have fallen upon some... eye opening events. No pun intended." Gravitas explained a little before he came up to the real dead-ringer. If Red didn't believe him then so be it, but the truth was the truth. "You received a glowing recommendation from a third party source. A source I have no reason but to trust. Then after speaking with my associate and contact whom revealed to have known you personally...well after that I simply couldn't let the opportunity pass."

Gravitas slipped his arms through his over-cloak and he revealed his spiked under spaulders that were slightly hidden before, giving him a slightly less regal and more fierce look, which in turn spoke volumes of his reputation. Reaching out Gravitas used his hand to gently trace the napkin, meandering his way to the knife and the fork, snagging one and placing it into the opposite hand before arming himself. He continued to carve away at the tigerfish fillet while Xerox began to do the same with his Texas steak, however he did so with less...finesse.

"I honestly was very disappointed that an overrated group of classless psychopaths seemed to get the better of me - elbows off the table Gray - and so I decided to personally investigate you and it turns out that both of those recommendations were...well, they did you justice to the highest quality." Gravitas said with a chuckle, ensuring that he didn't speak with his mouth full of food, as he recalled how awful it was to see his foster father chewing with his mouth open like an unkempt pig. Rest the man's soul, but still if you eat like a hog there is something wrong with you. Of course Gray, blinked before looking down on the table and realizing that his elbows were in fact there. "I at times wonder how much easier endeavors would have been with a true ally at hand one competent enough to - NOT BUT HIS ELBOWS BACK ON THE TABLE." Gray lifted them before looking about and then lowering them again gently, being silent as he did so. Gravity Man immediately stopped dead speech to turn his head towards Gray slowly. To this Gray lifted his elbows up quickly and began positioning himself slightly away from Gravitas as he did so. Gravitas sighed and looked back to Red.

"Ones competent to know that there are greater things at risk than ourselves." He added with a little sigh before going back to eating his meal.

"oi, if I could be excused a moment. Daniel, could you help me with this patrol?" Gray asked Daniel, though Gravitas didn't skip a beat in turning his head.

"You can divide yourself into several people...why do you need help with that?" He asked, Xerox cleared his throat a little before hoping that someone would save his sorry rear, unfortunately that likely wasn't going to happen.

"W-well ya see, thing is that Daniel is a teleporter. I figured it's be best if he helped me get around quick enough. If they wouldn't mind." Gray said, though Gravitas actually knew that his intentions were less than that. He had to give credit where it was due though, he made it professional enough to let him stow his inquisition...for now. Though what Gray's plans were was entirely unknown, he was the trickster type of the group after all. The thought only reminded Gravitas of their little so called "friend" that put a bad taste in his mouth.

"If Lucius and Daniel allow this then I suppose I would have no reason to object." He said, Gray smiling, slightly satisfied before looking to Red and Daniel, hoping that Daniel would agree so that he could implement one last little trick before Gravitas likely killed him.

So it seemed Gravitas knew of the Ultra Gang, and not only that, their was a mole in his group who was said to have slandered Lucius' name. Sure he was a little brutal at times, but Lucius liked to think he had grown out of the pointless murder. If it wasn't a requirement, it didn't need to be done. But it also seemed he got a 'glowing' recommendation. Honestly, Lucius couldn't think of anyone that could have done that for him. Silus perhaps, but why would he recommend Lucius to a criminal organization? Very odd, but Lucius wouldn't ask about who, it was clear Gravitas wasn't saying so for a reason, and there was no reason to ramble on about it. There seemed to be a struggle with Gravity Man and one of his minions about their table manners, which Lucius couldn't help but smile at. It was quite amusing really, as he had done something similar before.

"The Ultra Gang don't know what their doing. If you ask me all their endeavors are just making us look bad, their....proving those that say we need to be contained right." Lucius said in response to Graivtas calling Deathbringers gang classless psychopaths. He couldn't agree more really, all Lucius got from that was a cracked open head and a little bit more influence in New York, and it really wasn't worth it. But, he would stick with them partially until they were ready to be deposed of.

"I have wondered that myself. I have some competent allies, but they are all in it for themselves in the end, i want something more then personal gain." Lucius said, answering the other part of Gravity Man's speech before hearing the duplicator say something. It seemed he wanted Daniel to come with him for something...an odd request. It was against Lucius' better nature to allow such things, but he felt it was fine. If they were trying to kill him, well, they likely would have already made a move.

"If you think it will make things run more smoothly, go ahead." Lucius said after Daniel looked at him, as if asking just as Gray was. Daniel was just as clueless about this as Lucius, but he went with, out of curiosity if not anything else.

"I've heard that tone before, I've used it myself in fact. What's this really about?" Daniel asked gray once they got out of sight of their two bosses.
